Wonderful Hostess At Artemis
We stayed for 4 nights at the Artemis apartments and couldn't have picked a better place. Katerina the owner is fantastic and so warm and helpful.
The location is perfect in Ios close to the village and all amenities.
The rooms are tidy and spotless, there were good views of the island and it was also extremely affordable!

Hospitality is an innate gift and Aikaterini (Katerina) is a perfect hostess
Katerina is the owner of the Artemis Pension... always smiling, joking and polite, she manages the pension and a joint pastry laboratory, togetherwith her whole family. She often offered us some fantastic freshly baked pastries made with goat cheese and even at the end of our stay, she didn't accepted we pay her for the pastry gift boxes, we carried home... including instead, a bottle of red greek wine! What else? Our apartment was a studio of about 10 square meters: on the ground floor, overlooking a typical Cycladic alley (see attached photos). The structure is a white Cycladic two-storey building, facing the Chora of Ios: but far enough, from the night chaos of the island (one night only we were awakened by a couple of guys, fighting over their return from the disco: but this depends just by their personal rudeness, nothing else). Almost daily linen change (at least, in our case and included in the price), free shuttle service to and from the port, both on arrival and departure (just request it to Katerina, once booking) The Ktel bus terminal is 100 meters away, as the supermarket, motorbike and car hire and the village, with its bars, restaurants and shops.
We just had some initial difficulties in getting answers by e-mail. Also... both the cutlery than the pots should be completely replaced by new ones. A microwave oven (even if the small space makes it difficult, to place: a shelf fixture near the sink or the hob may be, a good idea) would be added value, to the studio

Holidays with friends
The pension is located in a very nice place , in Chora. Near the pension there is a restaurant , a coffee shop that also has an atm machine and a mini market . It is also near the bus station. The rooms are nice enough , clean , comfortable and there is a peaceful environment . It has a nice view of the island and the price for the room is logical enough . Will sure recommend it for young people and group of friends . Very nice place and I will visit it one more time .

Very good experience
My friends and I had a nice stay in this pension. Although the room was quite small (especially the bathroom) the position of the pension is ideal: few steps from the nightlife so that when you're going back home exausted you don't have to walk much!
The owner Katerina is such a nice person, she was so kind to us and made sure we weren't missing anything!
I definitely recommend this place.

Simpatica pensione in posizione eccezionale
La pensione è vicina a tutto: alla Chora con le sue stradine pittoresche (non perdetevi il tramonto dalla chiesa in cima!), alla fermata dell’autobus per andare in tutte le località dell’isola, ad un supermercato piuttosto attrezzato all’angolo e ad un ristorante aperto dalla colazione alla cena proprio sotto.
La piccola spiaggia del porto sabbiosa, tranquilla e con acqua limpidissima è raggiungibile anche a piedi tramite una stradina pedonale in 10/15 min.
L’arredamento spartano ed essenziale è compensato dalla grande cordialità, gentilezza e disponibilità della proprietaria Katarina, prodiga di utilissimi consigli e di dolcetti da lei prodotti!viene a prendere e riporta gratuitamente al porto.
La piccola spiaggia del porto sabbiosa, tranquilla e con acqua limpidissima è raggiungibile anche a piedi tramite una stradina pedonale in 10/15 min.
