Spotless, great location, great value

A great location. Always spotless. I have stayed here several times; the hosts (Irene and Kostas) are great and their restaurant (The Anchorage, across the street) is one of the best in town.

Lovely room, 30 seconds from beach! Affordable and lovely hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay in Pension Irene. The hosts were really nice and went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay in Souiga. AC in the room was perfect, 30 seconds from the beach and all bars/restaurants. Room has a fridge freezer as well which came in very handy. Definitely recommend Pension Irene!

Good clean accomodations at an affordable rate!

Our room was basic and functional, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had plenty of hot water and virtually no noise from adjacent rooms. The hosts and housekeeper were very pleasant. We had a second floor room with a balcony and indirect view of the beach. Parking is not adjacent to hotel; but it is an easy walk. Sougia is small, so everything is within easy walking distance. Check-in and check-out was easy; although there was some confusion about our payment via booking.com. We are waiting to see if we were double charged; but this is not a reflection on the Hotel. We would stay here again.

Nice and cheap little hotel near the beach

Irene offers clean bright rooms with little balconies. The bathroom had no windows and was not brand new but clean. For 45€ a night it is very reasonably priced.
It is located a one minute walk away from the seaside. The owners are friendly. The fridge, WiFi and AC all worked well.
A good base for a stay in wonderful Sougia.

Avoid this Racist and Smell Pension Irene!

I black British and i stayed in Pension Irene in July 2016 for 6 nights, i was charged
70 euros per night. The building has series of little restaurants on the Veranda, Pension Irene has one of the small restaurants below the 2 or few rooms above her small restaurant which Irene let as Pension!!
And if you stay in this Pension Irene, you have to pass through the crowded little smelly Irene restaurant every time you leave and return to your smelly room!
And although i paid 420 Euros to stay in this smelly place, because i an a BLACK man and i have to pass through the small crowded smelly restaurant, and Mrs Irene more, the owner, did not want the WHITE CUSTOMERS in the restaurant to see the FACE
of a BLACK Person, Irene More would FROWN her face when she saw me going out of the smelly room which i paid 420 euros, and when i saw her angry face, i walked straight outside, and i NEVER had breakfast, because of RACISM of this Pension!!
And so, if you are Black, Asian -or- even if you are White but you believe RACISM is immoral/wrong, avoid Pension Irene, do not stay there, if you stay there you may support RACISM!! J Massaquoi, from London
