A 3-star hotel or a 2-star hotel?
We arrived at the hotel - which was near the sea -, we checked in, and they gave us the key to the room. The space looked nice and the room quite new, creating us a good first impression. Of course we were 3 people, and in the room there was a sofa in his living room (who had taken out the pillows to make him a bed) and 2 single beds in the apartment. Apparently there was a toilet, as well as a kitchen (one room with the living room), with a refrigerator and a microwave. The Owner informed us that for the air conditioning all windows had to be closed, and the door of the terrace because they had installed a system that if you open the balcony door the air conditioning would exhaust. We felt a little bad about this, since every time we wanted to spread a garment on the balcony, we had to play the doctor with the air conditioner (to reopen it). We go to the most important ones that made our stay not so pleasant, although practically the room we wanted only for a night's sleep, and a bath to wash off the sea... So we see that it had 2 toilet papers, and 2 shower gel of 35ml (a lot of detail, but you will immediately understand why), which we assumed that if they were finished they would replace the next day they would clean the room... Um not... One toilet paper brought and had the other finished, and for the shampoos no reason to renew them... One, two, three, after we ended up taking a bath with the shampoo dropmeter, we told them to bring us because they're done... As well as a second toilet paper, even if there was, since they could not see the easy cardboard from the rolls... The biggest thing about the room was that, yes, they came every day to clean, but neither the sheets nor the towels were changed! In the 5 days we stayed, sheets and towels were changed only once on the 4th day! (Children, simple hygiene rules!) Also in the room, supposedly there was wifi in the room, but just supposedly, because when we mentioned it to the staff - owners their answer was, in which room you are, and immediately as soon as we told them, they came back and told us, did you try to get out to the veranda? We were also told: "Some say we get, others say we don't get", while the room facilities mention wi-fi!
So continuing with the facilities of the hotel, we were lucky because the price included breakfast. Or not that lucky? Breakfast was from 8:30 to 10:30.
French coffee and concentrated juice from beverages (fresh orange juice was missing), while from food there was bread, cheese, turkey, eggs, pancakes, butter, jam, merenda, cake mixed with chocolate, omelette, chocolate croissants with bars, ready toast, and some other options indifferent tastes that I now do not remember... Okay, you would say a basic hotel breakfast, not something special, and that's what I would say if I didn't try one of the options above... The omelet, the pancakes and the bucakes were delicious, but when they were finished they did not renew them, resulting in those who did not go early for breakfast did not get them... We only got a bougata for one day, although we went relatively early for breakfast, while omelette we got almost all the times (the one was not eaten because it was a saltwist.) The pancakes were nice all the times we got them, but if you wanted to put merenda or other pralines, you had to take the large package that they had on your table and then return it to get from other tables, since it didn't have a small individual kettle. Unfortunately, neither the price card was taken out of the package. The croissants with sticks, one day was yesterday's day... The eggs, boiled though, but it was aqueous... Also, the handmade cake, once I tried it, had gotten swept in, so it didn't pull me to try again... The bread, the cheese and the turkey, you should have waited until they were renewed, (when they saw that they were done). They could with a few additions such as fresh juice, Greek coffee, sausakiki, parissa or hamon, individual pralin packages and butter croissants make the breakfast quite rich and pleasant.
Maybe the hotel was three stars but I put 2 in my rating and this because it was helpful to the person in what we asked them, at least the owners, since their son who continues the business, was out all day for coffee and we saw him only in the welcome and payment... With small corrections that do not cost much, from the hygiene in the room and a few extra additions to the breakfast and more careful taste options and our experience in the hotel would become better...
