The reviews scared me, in reality it was great!

Worst campsite ever
Our holiday at this campsite has become a huge disappointment. The website and reality are miles apart. What is presented online as a cozy family campsite with many amenities and activities, turns out to be a run-down, dirty and poorly organized campsite.
When we booked this holiday, the Funmeter on the Capfun website was set to purple. This would mean that there would be a lot of entertainment and activities during our stay. Once they arrived, there was hardly any sign of that. During our stay the Funmeter on the website suddenly turned green. When we reported this to the reception, it was said that the campsite is facing a shortage of staff. We have booked this holiday based on the promised entertainment offer. We find it absolutely unacceptable to modify the Funmeter afterwards and then give staff shortages as a reason.
The animation is very poor. Regularly it is not even open at the indicated times and for older children and young people there is virtually nothing to do. The foam party was also a huge travesty. The foam cannon was always broken and the activity was held on a lawn, so all the children were eventually covered in mud and dirt. The football field is old and poorly maintained and the goals are broken.
The pool is far too small for the number of guests. There are far too few sunbeds, so you have virtually no chance to sit anywhere. There is a regular smell of sewage and urine around and even in the pool. The staff is also unfriendly and little to nothing is done with complaints.
The restaurant is dirty and everything sticks. The plumbing is even worse. There was faeces on the toilets and on the toilet seats, there are cobwebs everywhere and the whole thing hardly seems to be cleaned. At the campsite we heard several guests complaining about the huge dirt and poor hygiene.
Our cottage was reasonable, but also there were cobwebs, the cutlery was dirty and clearly not cleaned properly. There are many dilapidated and poorly maintained houses throughout the campsite. The campsite as a whole looks old, unkempt and dilapidated.
The power supply is also not in order. As soon as you try to cook, the power goes out. That is not only annoying, but also unacceptable for an accommodation for which you pay a lot of money.
There is no decent camping shop where you can buy bread or other necessities in the morning. Bread is only available at the reception, but it does not open until 9 am. With young children, that is incredibly impractical. The baguette machine around the corner also didn't work.
The dump is filthy and the containers are overflowing. Clearly, these could be emptied more often. There are only four washing machines for a campsite with so many guests, two of which were broken. It is therefore virtually impossible to run a laundry.
We have seen rats and there are an awful lot of wasps. There is a sewage or urine smell in several places on the campsite. There is no cozy bar or nice terrace where you can sit in the evening. There is also virtually nothing to do in the immediate vicinity.
In addition, there was a lot of nuisance. Fireworks were set off in the playground in front of our house. There was a lot of barbecuing, where we had enormous smoke and smell nuisance. Despite the risk of forest fires, there seemed to be hardly any monitoring. Nuisance is not addressed and there seems to be virtually nothing checked at the campsite.
During the World Cup we wanted to look in the canteen, but we were refused. This while there are hardly any other facilities or evening activities.
We have been to the reception several times to report our complaints. It was always said that the manager would contact us. To this day, we have not seen or spoken to anyone and nothing has been resolved.
A receptionist even indicated that what is on the website is mainly marketing to attract people. The same employee said that he himself would have filed a complaint if he had stayed at this campsite as a guest. That says everything about the state of this campsite.
We then also called Capfun himself. There we were told that they could only mean something to us when we are back in the Netherlands and that the campsite had to solve it itself during our stay. However, the campsite did nothing and the promised manager did not contact us. Meanwhile, Capfun and the campsite kept referring to each other. A clear cupboard-to-the-wall story, where we as paying guests were left with our complaints and our holiday was just further ruined.
What makes this experience extra disappointing is that we have previously stayed at Capfun De Pekelinge in the Netherlands. There we had a fantastic holiday and the facilities, atmosphere and organization were good. So we know that Capfun can also offer a good holiday. That is precisely why we had high hopes. The difference with this campsite could hardly be greater. Compared to our top holiday at De Pekelinge, this holiday was really a huge travesty.
We feel seriously misled by the information, the Funmeter, the photos and the promises on the website. This campsite is dirty, dilapidated, poorly maintained and totally not designed for the number of guests. Complaints are not taken seriously, agreements are not kept and both the campsite and Capfun pass the buck.
We will absolutely never come back here and strongly advise others not to book their holidays here. Save yourself the disappointment and choose another campsite.

Go find a better spot
The accommodation was poor. The inventory was incomplete, it wasn't clean, doors were sticking, and the shower doors wouldn't stay closed.
The campsite itself was untidy and not well maintained. The reception building looked like it was falling apart. According to the website, check-in starts at 3:00 PM, but when we arrived, we were told it wasn't until 4:00 PM. Not ideal when it's 35°C and you're waiting in the car with two children. There was also no way to communicate properly due to the language barrier.
We will never stay at a Capfun campsite in France again. It certainly wasn't "fun" for the amount of money we paid.

Family camp site for trips
We recently stayed at Camping Parc de Paris for a week, and overall we had a good holiday. There were many things we enjoyed, but there were also several areas that could be improved.
Check-in was smooth and completely hassle-free. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Their English was perfectly adequate, and they even showed us where to park and where our mobile home was located, which made arriving very easy.
Our mobile home was spotless when we arrived, and we really appreciated that the air conditioning had already been switched on. After a long journey in the summer heat, that small detail made a big difference. Everything in the accommodation worked perfectly, and the beds were comfortable.
One thing that would have been helpful to know in advance is that the double bed only comes with one shared duvet instead of two single duvets. We had brought bedding for two separate duvets, so that came as a surprise.
The kitchen was functional but quite limited. There were only four of everything (plates, glasses, cutlery, etc.), which meant we had to do dishes after almost every meal. Some basic kitchen equipment, such as a chopping board, was also missing, although reception quickly provided one when we asked.
The campsite itself is beginning to look a little worn. We visited during an exceptionally hot and dry period, so the burnt grass certainly didn't improve the appearance, but the site was generally clean.
The main playground in the centre of the campsite was fantastic, and our children absolutely loved it. It looked a little worn but still felt safe. There are also several smaller playgrounds between the mobile homes, which is a nice feature for families.
The pool area was another highlight. Our children never wanted to leave! It was clean overall and offered plenty of space and activities, although parts of the area looked like they could benefit from some maintenance. The sun loungers were particularly worn and there simply weren't enough of them, especially as many guests reserved them without actually using them. We really appreciated the lifeguards, who clearly took safety seriously and ensured that children who couldn't swim wore appropriate flotation aids.
We also felt very safe thanks to the security staff at the entrance. Even when we left the campsite at 3 a.m. to begin our journey home, there was still a security guard on duty.
The WiFi was unfortunately one of the weakest parts of our stay. It was available throughout the campsite, but the connection was very unstable and often worked poorly.
There is a small refrigerator in reception selling basics such as milk and pasta, but we really missed having a proper campsite shop or kiosk for everyday essentials.
We didn't try the restaurant, as it looked rather quiet and lacked atmosphere during our stay.
One thing that deserves both praise and criticism is the entertainment team. They clearly put a lot of effort into creating fun activities for children, and they genuinely seemed enthusiastic. Unfortunately, every activity was conducted entirely in French. As international guests, our children couldn't really participate, and I even mentioned this to the hosts. Including at least some English would make the entertainment much more accessible for families visiting from other countries.
The campsite can also be quite noisy in the evenings, with children playing, shouting and running around until late. That's fairly normal for a family campsite, but it's worth knowing if you're looking for a quieter holiday.
The location is excellent if you're travelling by car. It's an ideal base for visiting Disneyland Paris, and it's also easy to drive to nearby towns with train stations offering direct connections into central Paris.
Cleaning the mobile home before departure was the guests' responsibility, which we thought was completely fair.
Overall, we had a nice stay, mainly thanks to the friendly staff, the enjoyable pool area and the convenient location. However, the unstable WiFi, limited facilities, lack of a proper shop and the fact that all entertainment was only in French mean that we probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.
With some investment and a few improvements, this campsite could easily earn a higher rating.
