Lovely spot, lovely hotel

Talloires isa beautiful spot for relaxing and enjoying swimming or boating in the lake. The Abbe de Talloires is a very good hotel -- well located, good rooms, excellent breakfast and first class service. Highly recommended.

Unfortunate alarm

We were overall very impressed with the hotel and the service however, on her last night, an alarm went off in the hotel, causing us to wake up and have a lot of difficulty falling back to sleep. It was a faulty alarm, but was very disruptive nonetheless also, we mistakenly reserved breakfast for the last day, however, we’re scheduled to depart prior to breakfast being served in the hotel refused to refund our money.

Excellent staff and location!!!

The staff was truly exceptional and elevated every aspect of our stay. While many stunning hotels can sometimes fall short when it comes to service, Abbaye de Talloires exceeded every expectation. Nathan and the entire team were warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making our visit unforgettable.
Nathan went above and beyond by helping us secure restaurant reservations, offering thoughtful local recommendations, and ensuring every detail of our itinerary was seamless. Whether we needed advice, assistance, or a last-minute request, the team was always available and eager to help. Their impeccable hospitality perfectly matched the beauty of the hotel and its breathtaking surroundings, creating an experience that was as memorable as the destination itself.

Slightly disappointing!

Small but fairly comfortable Room. Main shower clogged up so only thin stream. Light in foyer kept turning itself on and off during the night with no provocation
Reception staff very helpful
Friendly waitress at dinner - very good
Sommelier at dinner ignored us for 30 minutes so nothing to drink until the first course arrived - should do better ( and I am a wine merchant amongst other things!)
A pity that the bistronomique restaurant is not open in the evenings

Enjoying Lake Annecy

Top hotel with very friendly staff; everything was perfect right from the moment we pulled into the parking lot, so we felt comfortable immediately. The hotel itself is a gem in a prime location.
