An excellent hotel-restaurant with good air conditioning in the rooms
On arrival, I have no trouble parking my car in the hotel's large (unenclosed) private parking lot. The welcome is cordial. I am handed over with a smile, the key to the room and I am told the elevator that serves the 2nd floor. No offer of help to carry luggage.
The room is beautiful. Big enough to make us feel comfortable. The air conditioning is vigorous and it easily triumphs over the heatwave. Old opinions that bemoaned the lack of air conditioning are now quite irrelevant. The power outlets are well arranged. The desk and suitcase drop-off are functional. There are 2 seats in this room for 2 people (one chair and one stool). It would be perfect if there was an electric kettle with coffee and tea bags. The black spot is the wifi connection. The smartphone connects without difficulty but the Windows computer categorically refuses to connect. This is likely a security software measure as no password is required. I use the modem function of my smartphone to connect the computer.
In the shower room, the mirror is too far away and it is difficult to shave well (or put on makeup for the ladies). A close magnifying mirror would be welcome.
The dishes of the "summer relaxation" menu of the dinner (gaspacho and head of veal gribiche) are surprising because the main element is accompanied by unforeseen supplements that do not harm the flavors, quite the contrary.
Everything is missing at breakfast, sweet and savoury. There is hot milk in the machine and cold milk in a jug. There are even teapots and table trash cans. My only reservation concerns the only cheese on offer (emmental). A softer cheese for spread would have been desirable.

A welcoming hotel at the gates of Beaujolais
Hotel Le Chatard is located in Sarcey, between the Beaujolais to the north and the Monts du Lyonnais to the south. It makes it easy to visit the two nearby regions. The welcome is friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, well air conditioned. The hotel has a pleasant indoor pool, with an open view of the outdoor garden. A good place to visit the area.

Very nice discovery
Man-sized Inn located in Beaujolais.
Very clean and comfortable room.
Pool area well arranged and very nice after a trip.
Excellent breakfast, unfortunately we could not test the restaurant's very nice menu because it is closed on Saturday evening.
Friendly and efficient team.
