Discovery by bike of part of the Charentes
Very good welcome, dynamic team whatever we are asked, cottage a little vintage but we were half board so it did not pose us any problems Moreover, very nice area, hiking or impeccable bike Broaching with its swamps and birds, Rochefort etc...

So glad our team and the half-board stay made your cycling tour of the Charentes a great experience — our estate is a perfect base for biking and hiking around Rochefort and its marshes, and an official "Accueil Vélo" stop on the Flow Vélo. The cottages are being gradually refreshed too. I'd love to welcome you back to Saint-Savinien!

No entertainment.
Our hiking group stayed from May 17 to May 24. Pleasant setting, a bit old bungalow but clean, needs renovation, decent service team, pleasant welcome, but no entertainment, present but non-existent entertainer, new director is dishonest and a liar. We were two distinct groups that week; the host took care of the other group, was always present with them, and completely ignored and neglected our group of hikers, providing no activities, no information, and no announcements, while the director supports the opposite. We, the 25 members of the group, are unanimous about this situation; the new director is acting in bad faith regarding this matter. When a service is not provided, we can request a refund; this is not the case that occurred.

Bonjour Jean-Michel, merci pour ce retour détaillé et pour vos mots sur le cadre, la propreté et l'accueil. Sur l'animation, je comprends votre déception : accueillir deux groupes la même semaine ne doit pas conduire à ce que l'un se sente délaissé. Nous mettons en place un programme clairement communiqué et affiché dès l'arrivée de chaque groupe. Je regrette que nos échanges aient laissé une impression de désaccord plutôt que d'écoute, et je reste à votre disposition pour en reparler directement. Les bungalows font partie du programme de rénovation en cours. J'espère regagner votre confiance lors d'un prochain séjour.

A weekend with friends
! Small bungalows among the green oaks but especially a pitiful restaurant
Soft fries straight from the freezer swimming in oil???
And on the second night, three slices of tomato on dry bread!!!! A piece of carrot is floating!!
The fish is served on its plate of couscous and cauliflower like in a cafeteria!!
Enjoy your meal, friends!!!
I would be willing to return for the site, but please make an effort with the meals!!!!

Bonjour Patricia, merci d'avoir pris le temps de ce retour, et merci d'avoir souligné le charme du site — nos petits bungalows au cœur des chênes verts sont en effet ce qui fait notre identité.
Sur la restauration, votre message a été entendu sans détour : ce que vous décrivez n'est pas le niveau que nous voulons servir, et je vous présente mes excuses pour ces assiettes décevantes. Nous retravaillons actuellement la carte vers une cuisine plus soignée, à base de produits frais, locaux et de saison, c'est l'un de mes chantiers prioritaires depuis la reprise du domaine.
Vous dites vouloir revenir pour le site : j'aimerais sincèrement saisir cette occasion pour vous faire changer d'avis sur la table. Faites-vous connaître à votre arrivée, je serai ravi de m'en assurer personnellement. Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau aux Chênes Verts !

AMATEURISM
We were a group of hikers. "Old-fashioned" holiday village Spacious bungalow but in need of refreshing with musty smells. (Accommodation not ready when we arrived at 5 p.m.)
"Summer camp" type restaurant with simple dishes but often served lukewarm or even cold despite repeated comments. Bar missing glasses!!! Yes Yes . Bar only taking cash!!! No CB terminal: only one on the entire site!!! (director and his wife ignoring vacationers during "problems" and not able to lend a hand to the service) Entertainment almost non-existent. (a karaoke evening and an evening dancing in a week Positive point: TOP STAFF at the service.

Les points que vous décrivez, l'état et l'odeur du bungalow, le logement non prêt à l'arrivée, les plats servis tièdes, l'organisation du bar et les paiements, le manque d'animation, et une direction peu présente, datent de l'ancienne gestion. Le domaine a été repris en mars 2026 par de nouveaux propriétaires, et ce sont précisément ces sujets qui font l'objet de notre travail aujourd'hui : rénovation des hébergements, service en salle revu, modes de paiement modernisés et programme d'animation étoffé.
Je comprends que cette expérience vous ait déçus, et j'aimerais sincèrement avoir l'occasion de vous montrer un tout autre visage des Chênes Verts. Votre groupe de randonneurs serait le bienvenu pour un prochain séjour à Saint-Savinien.

Disappointing
Disappointing dilapidated maintenance leaves much to be desired for both the bungalows and the mini golf equipment out of order, not enough deckchairs at the swimming pool, gym classes provided by non-competent person, oyster evening more expensive than at the restaurant
