Great accomodation and a very interesting host. The room was excellent, the food and wine were delicious and plenty of it. Good value for money. We were walking the Cathare Route and thoroughly enjoyed the sejour.

Far too expensive

The cottage is located by the road in Puivert, on the Cathar trail.
The rooms are pretty but the shower is a plastic bin located in an angle of it. Toilets are shared and outside.
The Owner, British, unsympathetically, refused my request to arrive an hour before the time he imposes.
If you choose half board, know that it will cost you 97€. Which the Owner would prefer to receive in cash. We're wondering why?
It is far too expensive due to the very average quality of the property.

Great hiking stay over

As hikers on Cathar Trail looking for practical accommodation this is a good stopover. Super overnight stay with fab dinner and good breakfast. Martin great host and very helpful. Lots of hot water. Bed comfy. Nice garden. Good bar just 15 metres along when hiking boots come off!

Very nice!

We had a really lovely stay in Puivert! Our room was nice, shower and sink were part of the room, the private toilette was outside the room down the stairs. Nice gardens, dinner and breakfast were tasty. Cute bar about 50m from the hotel. We would recommend!

Great overnight stay in Puivert

We stayed at Au Petit Verger on one of our overnight stops as we hiked the Sentier Cathare. We enjoyed Martyn's hospitality and delicious evening meal. He had not been forewarned (by the company that organized our trip) that we are vegetarian, but he graciously changed his menu and dinner plan to meet our needs. We enjoyed a delicious mushroom risotto as the main entree. Thank you Martyn!
The three of us were the only guests that night so were given our choice of rooms. My husband & I selected the large family room with en suite on the first floor; our friend had a cheery large room with separate bath on the second floor. Both were comfortable and quiet.
