The place to be a Prades

Lovely stay in and beautiful villa in the center of Prades. Ideal base for visiting Villefranche, Castles of the Cathars, Abbeys of Saint Martin du Canigou and Saint Michel de Cuba, the Orgues d’Ille sur Tet...and also ideal for just lazing around.
Beautiful house, nice garden, pleasant pool. The Canigou room has a large terrace overlooking the Pic du Canigou...
Full and tasty breakfast. Friendly owners...only superlatives

Go with your eyes closed: the beautifully flowered park (in May 2025) will delight you

Warm welcome. .
Once settled you feel like home, which is very rare these days;
This is the opposite of hotel chains owned by US pension funds that leave the wrong impression that an accountant runs the house.
We came in September 2024 and the end of May 2025.
Very nice house, beautiful park very flowery.
We also had a very good impression in May 2016 but it is a bit old
The pool is very large and quiet.
Everything is very well maintained although the rooms are both large and simple.
Quality breakfasts, hearty and reasoned.
Bravo.

Idyllic

We had a lovely stay at Villa Lafabregue. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with a large balcony and, of course, a view of Canigou.
Kate and Nick were relaxed and welcoming, which made Villa Lafabregue feel relexed and welcoming too.
Breakfast was varied and delicious, the pool was lovely, and the garden was delightful. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Warm and friendly welcome in a beautiful and comfortable house

We keep returning to Villa Lafabregue for the same warm welcome and beautiful surroundings. We stayed in a very comfortable terrace room with an enormous corner terrace overlooking both the Canigou and the garden and swimming pool. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room and on the buffet outside in the hallway you will find all the crockery/condiments you could need for a hastily-bought market lunch on the terrace on a sunny winters afternoon. The Tuesday Prades market is always a great experience. Breakfast is perfect and copious. The homemade Seville orange marmalade is especially good. Kate & Nick are wonderful hosts and make everyone feel at home in their stunning property. Great value for your money and well worth a visit.
