Very unpleasant night
I would like to publish this review with the utmost respect but showing great discontent about a one night stay with a friend at the Hostellerie des Châteaux.
All the services offered were up to their presentation, spa, dinner and breakfast, however an incident, and not least, taking place in the night is in our opinion, very serious.
Indeed, at 00:30 someone came knocking on our door several times to end up slipping a word under the door (photo) clearly resembling a salacious proposal.
After a security response by dialing 9 as soon as possible from the room, she told us that she would come to watch. Indeed, we had confirmation the next day that security was around the building to ensure that no one broke in.
The night was very unpleasant because of this great feeling of insecurity, we were staying at the Annex which apparently has no staff at night to ensure that this kind of thing does not happen.
We do not throw stones at the team who could not know that a sex offender was staying at the hotel however their reaction the next day when we presented ourselves at the reception seemed indifferent. The receptionist explained that she watched 1 hour of surveillance camera video and confirmed that no one followed us and therefore that it was not someone outside the hotel. Which we think is all the more serious, that it's a client and not a joke from young teenagers who might have broken in. The team apologized to us AND the invoice (without any gesture of compensation obviously).
We are deeply disappointed that as women in 2025 we don’t even feel safe in a hotel with a 180€/p per night package.
Of course, we're not coming back.

Very good stay
Ideal location to go to Obernai, Mont Saint Odile for example
SPA and very nice pools, lots of equipment in the garden (deckchairs, deckchairs,...)
Very varied and hearty breakfast

Disappointment
Modernized in decoration, the bar is extremely cold.
The cold welcome, we slept in the residence of the castle hostel, bedding tb but no one references in the building. Ghost hotel, we will not repeat the experience.

certainly the room and the place is very rustic but for one night it is clean and the bedding is good.
a large +++ for access to the spa and pool (size and deckchairs sufficient)
Extra breakfast.
