A Wonderful Stay with an Incredible Spa and Breakfast

We stayed in a suite of Hostellerie des Châteaux in Ottrott and overall had a very pleasant experience.
The location of the hotel is truly beautiful: between the vineyards and the forest, in a quiet area at the foot of the Vosges and near Obernai.
Ideal to discover Alsace and completely unwind. The hotel has all the facilities you would expect from a 4-star hotel, with the impressive wellness complex of more than 2,500 m2 with multiple swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas, hammams and relaxation areas as an absolute eye-catcher.
Our suite was very well cared for, spacious and excellently equipped. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided.
The bed deserves a special mention: a quality mattress that ensures optimal comfort.
An absolute winner is the breakfast.
Rarely seen such a rich and quality breakfast buffet. There is a wide selection of fresh products such as smoked salmon, various cheeses, fresh fruit juice, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit and a large assortment of breads and baguettes. The live cooking is a real added value: fried eggs, omelets, pancakes and fresh waffles are prepared on site. Also nice is that you can prepare your own coffee at the coffee machine, including perfectly frothed milk for cappuccino or latte macchiato. The breakfast alone makes a stay here worthwhile.
A minus concerns the air conditioning in our suite. We only arrived in our room late at night and noticed that the air conditioning was not turned on beforehand. As a result, the temperature had risen to about 27°C. Despite the excellent mattress, we have therefore slept less well. For a hotel in this category, the room temperature should be checked in advance, especially in hot weather conditions (it was 30°-35° outside) turning on the air conditioning in time is a must.
In summary, Hostellerie des Châteaux offers an excellent combination of luxury, wellness, gastronomy and tranquility. Thanks to the beautiful location, the well-kept rooms, the exceptional breakfast and the extensive spa facilities, this is definitely an address we would love to come back to.

Quite satisfied

I would have given 5 stars if the pool and spa Service was only for hotel guests. Too crowded from outside! I stayed 6 nights and enjoyed the dinner package: dinner consisting of 3 courses and the last evening of 5. More than satisfied with the Service (prepared and kind guys especially Erika who has always helped us and met our requests), even if the 5 courses of the last night were quite trivial and repetitive. Cleanliness good, parking small, always considering the exterior.
To improve the Breakfast Service by putting a Bar Service for drinks instead of vending machines.

Fantastic cuisine

Very elegant hotel in a small place. Dogs are also welcome. The restaurant is phenomenal. Wow wow wow. What can I say? Starter with salmon and artichokes. Main course with fillet. Dessert with strawberries. With wine accompaniment. Riesling. Bordeaux. Gewürztraminer. Wow. That's great. Thank you very much to kitchen and service!!!
