A very special hotel in the heart of Nimes. It makes you feel like a star. Beautiful garden restaurant and bar. We will come back.

A very beautiful hotel

Originally from Nîmes, I left this city many years ago. Returning for a family event, choosing the Imperator was an obvious choice.
And I made a good choice. Beautiful, perfectly quiet room, very beautiful bathroom, excellent bedding, stylish staff who were very attentive throughout the stay... Given the reasons for my stay, the hotel's location in the heart of the city center was not very important, but it certainly will be for most guests. I didn’t have time to enjoy the spa either, but I spent a few pleasant hours around the pool. In short, an excellent stay… except for one point.
I am almost unhappy to mention it, but I found the breakfast completely unworthy of a hotel of this class, even considering the made-to-order options. To tell the truth, I sometimes frequent 4-star hotels where the offering is far superior to what we had there. To the point that after having breakfast at the hotel on the 1st day, we settled for a cup of tea in the room on the 2nd, and we went to brunch elsewhere.
But other than that, it is a hotel that I recommend on all other points.

Disappointing.

Beautiful establishment, comfortable room, welcoming staff; nothing to complain about on that side. On the other hand, do not go sit in the garden lounge: dirty sofas, stained, covered in dog hair, scattered with hair, torn cushions, leftover meals or other things stuck in the gaps of the table…far from the advertised standard. As for customer service, it is nowhere to be found.

The Best Choice in Nimes, Highly Recommend

We love Nimes, and we love the L’Imperator
Staff are Excellent,
All very helpful and welcoming.
Location Excellent,
Quiet spot, just a couple of minutes walk from the shops and sights.
Facilities Excellent
Pool, Gym, Spa, a stylish well stocked Bar, and a beautiful large garden area to eat dinner or just relax.
Not to forget the Michelin restaurant!
Rooms Excellent
No matter which level you choose, they’re all very stylish and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Bathrooms are beautiful, excellent shower, & products.
There’s even history, we just learnt that Hemingway, Picasso, & Ava Gardner had all previously stayed!
The only tiny downside is there’s no parking attached to the hotel, but to be fair it’s not an issue as the hotel does offer a valet service which is great and there is a underground car park literally opposite the hotel.
So, am sure you can see why we keep coming back.
