CLOSEST, CLOSEST, TO THE HISTORIC & TOURIST CITY CENTER

What do you say? What do you say? Essentially good for this Accor group hotel. In this brand, there were many visits to France, and Europe (Switzerland, Spain, Italy...), but different were my opinions, my experiences, as well as other brands of Accor (Sofitel, Pullman, Mercury, Novotel, Ibis Styles). I recognize several criteria of overall and complete satisfaction for this Ibis Montpellier Centre Comedie:
- its location, in the city center, you can not be close (comedy square, CDG esplanade, Polygon & Triangle shopping centers.
- parking: in public underground parking with preferential package, with direct access to the hotel reception by elevator.
- the welcome, throughout the stay, of Paola. A professional employee, dedicated and dedicated to the customer, pleasant, caring and charming.
- the room itself on the second floor with unobstructed views of the south of the city. Large bathroom with Italian shower and toilet. Very good bedding. Large and modern for an Ibis room.
- breakfast with pleasant staff, friendly, smiling, kind, responsive and dynamic when reassorting and requests. The best scrambled eggs they have been to me to enjoy, enjoy breakfast in a hotel, whatever the brand, brand, standing. Congratulations! The same goes for the "cappucino" in the machine though. Rarely is it that good. Complete and varied, you can find everything, in good, like fresh breads, pastries. Originality, in anti gaspi and environmental mode, the "big" lump of butter, where everyone serves wisely and intelligently. This is a first for me in a hotel! Goodbye to the plastic "squares." Nice and good idea.
the Augusto: the hotel's snack restaurant. Farm and oriental pizzas cooked on site but stored in freezing or refrigeration mode. Nothing exceptional, but good quality, and digestible. Served at table in place seated in an intimate atmosphere.
So much for the points listed as positive. Let us look at a few negative points that do not call into question the overall and complete qualitative satisfaction of this visit:
- in the room, no courtesy available (coffee, tea, machine or kettle...), which is rare even in an Ibis store? One single towel per person in the bathroom (one that serves everything!)
At the Augusto, welcome and service "just right, no more, no less". Although good and digestible, they are fast, very fast cold ...
- from parking in the second basement, to private access by elevator to the hotel reception, the corridor (depending on the city and not the hotel I think?) is imbued with foul and urinary smells. We can ask ourselves where we are going, but it is only a few meters to travel, before joining the beautiful and good quality of this Ibis.

A good hotel

Warm staff, clean premises, rather spacious clean rooms. The hotel is quite well located in the city center

Excellent location, terrible hotel.

Excellent location, right next to Place Comédie. Otherwise, a negative judgment. Room with a somewhat dirty bathroom, no toilet brush, not enough towels for everyone, a very old and poorly functioning hair dryer. The bedroom was regular, but the two extra beds were in a closed sofa bed, with the pillows in a cellophane bag; there is no closet, just two small shelves, and to top it off, neglected decor. I noticed other guests complaining about the service, which ultimately matches ours. I repeat, the location is excellent, but returning to Montpellier we will definitely go to another hotel.

Great base for central Montpellier

Good Hotel, served as a great base while exploring Montpellier. Location is really central, around 30 meter walk to the main square. Lovely city break, spoilt for choice with lots of food and drink options.

It was extremely complicated and difficult to find the parking garage. Staff provided very limited and unclear instructions. We also have to ring the doorbell in the garage for the staff to open the door for us to access the hotel elevator; one time we were ringing the bell for good 15 minutes, but no one came to open the door. We were trapped at the garage level for awhile. The garage smelled like pee. We told the staff afterwards about the situation—they just shrugged! Totally unacceptable and unprofessional.
