Perfect location!
Just had a lovely weekend in beautiful Lille. The hotel is the most perfect location! Everything you need is on the doorstep! Pleasant staff and comfortable bed. Clean room and lovely interior.
Yes a lack of air con isn’t ideal but this is a lovely old traditional extremely central hotel and we could see past that. Small bathroom but clean, good powered shower and well maintained so again for us not a big deal. The hotels position and cleanliness were perfect xx

Lovely stay
Stayed here for 2 nights and could fault it. Perfect location. Friendly staff. Very clean. Charming decor like you’ve stepped back in time. Highly recommend and would stay here again! Thankyou

Highly recommended for guests who like and understand tradition
Beautifully done in the old style.

So central, everywhere walkable, which was the main reason to book here. Had old world charm but not keen on leaving our key behind the reception desk every time we went out especially as came back to the hotel a couple of times to find the desk not manned so anyone could have taken a key knowing the residents would not be in that room. No additional chain or bolt on the door which would have made us feel more secure & no safe which would be fairly cheap add ons. The 2 buildings that were attached to the hotel had collapsed recently due to water damage from the canals running under the city, must have been scary for the occupants & hotel residents at the time. We were not aware of this until after we’d checked in & probably wouldn’t have booked had we known as a worry what structural damage there might be to the hotel itself.

Surprisingly unseasonably hot during visit. Understandably there was no Aircon (beautiful old building and not used to such temperatures) but very rude receptionist refused request for a fan. After first night (no sleep) I left and moved to another hotel. They asked my friend (who was staying) why I was leaving, she explained about the fan and heat and they said, of course we have fans and provided one immediately. Shocking service in what I thought was going to be a truly memorable stay in a beautiful hotel. Other receptionists were better, but I was unable to stay in the hotel in the heat. Service at Ibis (replacement hotel I booked in to) was perfect. Real shame. Also tried to persuade us to go to breakfast when it wasnt included in our booking - hard sell implying it was included when wasn't, so beware. Reception unable/ unwanting to give restaurant recommendations - just go outside, there's restaurants everywhere! Unhelpful & rude.
