A dream evening
The accommodation is well placed, just minutes from the city center of Lille.
Welcoming was very warm.
The services are remarkable, the setting and comfort inside the accommodation are fantastic.

NEVER AGAIN! HORRIBLE!
Upon arrival actually immediately quite disappointed by the first impression. A what used to probably be a white with blue façade but now clearly fell into disrepair, the white of the façade would actually have preferred blue and the blue of the door and crooked garage door could also be said to feel white. Apart from a small nameplate nothing showed that we were at the right place. Parking modalities were certainly not on surplus. Free parking in the (narrow) street, which basically meant that a walk offered itself. Under the promise of free use of jacuzzi, indoor pool and some more facilities, we already turned a blind eye. The room initially offered a clean and fairly fresh impression. Breakfast in the room amounted to 4 (four) slices of toast bread wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge, to toast themselves. Top with 1 chocolate spread or 1 jam each. Choice of coffee or tea (2 each). No plate or nothing to prepare the toast. The next morning called out of bed by the host with the urgent request to move the car under penalty of fine by the police. No further explanation. We had two city-pass for free use of public transport which in itself is impeccable in France. Still took the car to the center because of anxiety to leave the car. Spent the day in Lille. Very nice and much to do. Back home with great difficulty due to a problem at the check-out of the underground parking. We look forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi and pool. Back long search for parking space. Upon arrival, a red balloon with a heart hung on the entrance door to the facilities. Which to me means as much as ‘this is private here!’ And then for me the size was full. Immediately everything packed and home. One of the worst stays ever. They will never see me here again and I hope to save people who want to book this from mistakes. THIS IS NOTHING!

Only book if you will use the small pool or jacuzzi
This B&B is located quite a bit outside the centre of town, 3 metro stops from gare Lille Flandres, in a very residential neighbourhood. The positive is that it has a small, even to hotel standards, pool and jacuzzi, open between 9 am and 10pm. The room (aire) was quite large, but there was no bathroom. Just a toilet, and a shower that is separated from the room with a curtain. As the room is above the pool and jacuzzi, it is damp and was also rather hot. Obviously, the location of the shower did not help, but there was a fan. Breakfast during the week arrives in a picknick basket at 7:30 am, left outside your door. It is a nice continental breakfast, you have to make your own tea/coffee/hot chocolate, and there is water and orange juice in the fridge.
I sent 2 messages days before arriving, and did not receive a single reply, but on the day itself they asked if I could text at which time, between 6 and 9 pm, I would arrive. So customer service in not to be expected. There is no possibility to leave luggage, and neither is there in either of the stations. So if you have luggage you have to reserve with nannybag beforehand, which has several locations in town where you can leave your luggage.

Humid and Dark
We arrived at the time we had stated, rang the doorbell and got no answer. After much searching we found a phone number to call. We called it and were eventually let in. Somewhat annoying after the long drive from the UK to get there!
We stayed in 'Fire'. The room was incredibly humid and very dark. An odd layout to the room meant that sitting up in bed was impossible and it was important to duck when you walked across the room to avoid hitting your head on the beams.
Shower and massage chair in the room - which was nice. A little worrying though that the toilet had a frosted glass door - leaving nothing to the imagination for anyone else in the room!
On arrival the heating was not working - which meant we had a humid yet cold room, the staff were quick to rectify the problem with the heating though which meant the room was them warm...and still humid.
The spa facilities were good, clean and peaceful. Definitely worth another visit.
Breakfast was brought up to us on a tray - sadly I could only eat a few tomatoes though as my request for gluten free vegan had been completely ignored....rather glad I had brought some food with me!
On reflection I should have asked for a partial refund given that breakfast was included in the price...but the staff made up for any oversights with their friendly, warm manner.

Could be really nice
Seems like a good place if you get the right room. Sadly we were put in 'fire' which was very cold, damp (and smelly), dirty - with spider webs everywhere and stained floors - and dark. The room was so damp that our bathrobes did not dry after two days hanging up. The lights broke and our towels were also dirty, as were the knives we were given for breakfast. It was also impossible to contact the owners before we arrived. It wasn't all bad - the breakfast was good and the spa is nice, if a bit broken down. But I'd recommend asking to change rooms if they put you in 'fire' - if we had been able to move somewhere else we really would have done, particularly as this is not a cheap B&B
