Excellent cottage to recommend. Good value for money

Beautiful place to decompress. A warm welcome as at home. Breakfast is very hearty and served with a smile and kindness. The rooms are very spacious for a family. I highly recommend this cottage

Pleasant

Very friendly welcome from our host Roger.
He speaks French very well with a lovely Scottish accent.
The rooms are pleasant, spacious and the little extra heating so that the children are warm was great.
The breakfast is very plentiful and pleasant and above all without extra charge for salty items.
The place and the situation make this place a stopping point close to Tour (Mont St Michel, landing beach...).
I recommend this place.
The only downside was the weather which did not allow us to see the garden and the animals...

This residence lives up to its name!

We feel good when we enter the stone residence. An excellent night and a quiet place. Roger's welcome is warm. The room is clean and spacious; the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is generous with fresh bread. In addition, this residence is close to Mont Saint Michel. I recommend it

Wonderful B&B

The real French country experience! Chambre 1 was roomy comfortable, charming and had a idyllic view!
Roger was fabulous and his beautiful niece cooked/served a hearty breakfast even though we were late to the table. We really enjoyed are stay here! Definitely one of the highlights of a whirlwind Normandy tour!
This central location was a perfect home base to see all the beautiful sites nearby including: Grandville, Mont St. Michel, Saint Malo, Cancale, Dinan and Dinard all super! Can’t wait to return!

Warm welcome, delightful place

We stayed a night here - with our two dogs - while en route between Quimper and Le Havre and were hugely impressed with everything. Close to Avranches and with good major route access, this charming place is run by Brit Roger and his team of family and international assistants. We booked an evening meal (€15 each) and the freshly-cooked food was superb. The included continental breakfast also featured complimentary scrambled eggs and bacon and set us up for a long day's driving.
Roger and his team are super hosts and we loved our time in La Merveille. Our dogs were welcomed and we were very happy. What's not to like?
Hopefully we'll return one day and experience this delightful and quirky place once again. We loved the resident goats too...!
