Mutton dressed as lamb

Where should I start Ar first this hotel seems really lovely and then the veneer starts to crack. The rooms are really nice, the a/c is great, the beds are comfortable. But this hotel is run by a bunch of complete amateurs; I’m sure none of the management has ever stayed in a real hotel, one run by professionals. This place is absolute amateur hour.
When we arrived I asked if the hotel had laundry service ( which as a 4 star hotel it is supposed to have, as is help with luggage but they didn’t have that either) I was told it did but I couldn’t find a laundry bag or laundry list in the room. So we asked at reception; but were met with confusion.Eventually someone came to the room with a laundry bag. The laundry was returned sometime later as a bundle in the same bag. Not ironed, not even folded
In the hotel restaurant the staff were incredibly gauche, really unprofessional. .At one point our waitress informed us, unsolicited and for reasons complete obscure to us, that a woman sitting near us had already had three glasses of chardonnay!
In the room the minibar was on the floor and so low down it was actually difficult to see what was in it. The wardrobe door was covered in greasy fingerprints. The hand shower was broken and no one made any effort to fix it
Then when we went to check out the desk was unattended. We waited for a while. There was no sign on the desk saying when someone would be back (and this was at peak checkout time) so asked in the hotel restaurant. The three members of staff there gave us their own versions of Gallic shrugs. After about 15 minutes we decided to pack the car and leave. At about 20 minutes the manager finally appeared and instead of apologising she went on the offensive. So rude! So many pathetic excuses!
This hotel looks beautiful but is actually a trainwreck of amateurs, and nowhere close to 4 stars.

Nice place, expensive for what it is. Suite rooms are just big hotel rooms. Staff are okay, one lady is really nice but the rest were useless, there was smashed glass on the floor near the pool and about 4 members of staff shrugged their shoulders whilst people were walking around bare foot. My husband pointed it out as we have a 2yr old and got a really rude response for trying to help, he was being really nice. Was all a bit strange. It was still there 24 hours later, which for such an expensive place you’d expect a bit more care. Also 2 beers was 28euros and they also tried to charge us for the mini bar when we bought our own beers for the fridge. Overall it’s mainly about the pool more than anything else.

The hotel has is very attractively designed. If you get a suite on the 2nd floor, you’ll have a small, tall window. The pool is tiny, and the filtration system is weak. The AC is working well.

Terrible experience with no hot water

No hot water either time I attempted to shower so I ended using the spa shower! TV doesn't work at all, probably because the hotel's internet works so poorly and service is extremely slow. And after all that, there was no apology, credit or other consideration from the staff.
