Amazing step back into history
This was an amazing, relaxing hidden Château :) It was so quiet and peaceful and full of history. Both hosts we met there were so kind and inviting. He made the most amazing dinner !!!!! And they both always greeted us with a huge smile :)

Future brides and grooms, stay away.
The place has a lot of potential, but the negatives tarnish the picture so much that I do not recommend this place at all.
We were guests at a wedding this weekend.
The park and the area around the pool: droppings from the owner's dogs. A dog urinating right in front of us in the gravel next to the pool, on Saturday morning. All this under the eyes of the owner who keeps an eye on us...
An omnipresent owner, dishonest when it comes to counting towels, chairs, etc... The final walkthrough should be at departure, and not all throughout Sunday afternoon...
She locks the guests in the castle at night, supposedly to prevent theft... While the region is grappling with extraordinary wildfires. People with reduced mobility would not have been able to evacuate quickly if needed. Reckless and dangerous, Madam.
We had to ask her numerous times to open the park gates to let vehicles pass.
The owner takes the liberty of grumbling at the children, teens, and young adults in the pool, because it excites her dog.
On several occasions we also heard her speak poorly to the children...
The castle itself is nice, a bit dark, the rooms comfortable but not air-conditioned.
Even if in the bridal suite, a quirk means that it is hot (scalding) water that runs in the toilet.
Furthermore, there are no showers for the guests who are lodged in the yurts and the dormitory. There simply aren't any, and they have to use the room facilities, or the two outdoor toilets.
The yurts and the dormitory, let's talk about them...
The yurts are tents, with air mattresses on the floor. Sheets were supposed to be provided but there were none.
The dormitory: air mattresses (not very inflated, piled into a room, fortunately air-conditioned).

Avoid at all costs, especially for a wedding
Difficult experience during a wedding on the weekend of July 25 and 26.
The venue could be perfect; the castle is beautiful and the grounds are pleasant. Unfortunately, the service really needs to be reviewed, as many comments indicate.
Early in the morning, the owner literally locked the people inside the castle; two people with reduced mobility were there and would not have been able to get out through the remaining access (too many steps). Let us remember that there are currently huge fires in the region that could have caused an evacuation; it is completely irresponsible and dangerous. All day long, we had to look for the owner to reopen the gate because she kept closing it regularly; the brunch caterers even had to wait 20/30 min before entering. Once again in the context of a fire...
Next, a "yurt" service is offered... It is actually small tents with air mattresses, a good portion of which were under-inflated, with no bed linen as advertised.
On Sunday morning, I was woken up by the owner threatening someone to keep the deposit for a deflated mattress, even though I had spent the night almost on the floor. Although the place was rented until Sunday evening, the owner started saying that 8 towels were missing, then 3 chairs; strangely, when we recounted in her presence, nothing was missing anymore... Without the diplomacy of one of the guests, the chairs would probably have been charged, since she initially refused the recount by the witness and locked the door.
Finally, the bride and groom had opted for a spa for 4 people at a certain time, but when the bride asked where it was, she was told it was not ready and they had to wait almost 1 hour.
For all these reasons, and once again despite the beauty of the place, I would advise you to flee this place.

When we arrived the day before the wedding, we noticed the presence of numerous dog droppings everywhere on the estate, which is unacceptable for a reception venue.
The owner was much too present throughout the event, to the point of threatening a child about a mattress that was already half-deflated during the initial walkthrough.
The most shocking thing remains that she locked our guests who were staying on-site inside, preventing them from leaving, even though the region was on wildfire alert. No one could leave the premises. I find this behavior extremely dangerous and totally unacceptable in terms of safety.
Finally, at the time of the move-out inspection, the owner would regularly claim that tablecloths, towels, or chairs were missing. After several checks with my witnesses, it turned out that everything was indeed present. This situation generated totally unnecessary stress at the end of a weekend that should have remained a wonderful memory.
It is really a shame, because the potential of the estate is real, but the owner's behavior strongly tarnished our experience. I do not recommend this establishment.

Dishonesty and unsanitary conditions.
If a zero rating existed, this "castle" would deserve it. I will not dwell on the unsanitary conditions of the place (green pool, dog droppings on the premises, and mold in the restrooms), but rather on the dishonesty of the owners.
In addition to being present and intrusive throughout your event (and taking photos of the event), they took it upon themselves to crash my friends' wedding to cut the music at 10 PM. The owner then requested that the party continue indoors, even though the wedding was clearly meant to take place outdoors (prior visit by the caterer outdoors / dance floor set up outdoors).
They threatened not to return the deposit to the groom in the middle of his wedding. These discussions continued at brunch the next day.
Furthermore, they do not provide toilet paper, and their notion of a "dormitory" is close to a scam: for a cost of about €1200, a large room without windows where about twenty inflatable mattresses (some deflated even before going to bed) are crammed in among folding chairs and tables.
Really avoid this place.
