Nice.
Friendly campsite, good mood and conviviality are waiting for you. Everything at hand. The city and shops are just a stone's throw away. The children are happy to go play on the playground. The bar is nice and friendly

Noisy
We stayed for 6 nights in an RV at this campground.
Upon our arrival, we were placed at the very back of the campground, on a site where the nettles had clearly not been cut. It's not very aesthetic, even if that's not the most annoying part.
The real problem is the noise. From the very first night, the campground's entertainment continued until 1:30 a.m. Then, the partygoers set up along the canal, right next to the RV sites, and the noise continued until 4:30 a.m. The next day, the same scenario… but this time until 6:00 a.m.!
The campground opens its bar to the outside, and once it closes, the customers continue their evening along the canal, without it seeming to be supervised.
If you are looking for peace and quiet and restful nights, I do not recommend this campground. On the other hand, if you like festive vacations and don't mind very lively nights, it might suit you.

Receptionist tried to scam us
The receptionist tried to scam us when we checked in. My girlfriend and I had booked a lodge for a specific price on Booking.com for a single night, and all of a sudden the lady at the reception (who barely spoke English) told us we had to pay an additional 'deposit' of somewhere around EUR 260, even though Booking.com indicated nothing of the sort. We pushed back and she immediately dropped the request. Nothing short of a scamming attempt.
Furthermore, when we tried to check out there was nobody at the reception (the reception building was locked!), even though we were in the designated check out time. We had to keep calling until some other lady (who didn't speak English at all) picked up and came over to accept our key. Absolutely horrible service.
The facilities are generally nice, but the bedsheet we got was clearly not washed.

Very disappointed
A place to avoid unless you are vaccinated against tetanus from the protruding staples and screws on the floors; be cautious for your children, and let's not even talk about the nettles—there are plenty everywhere. As for respect, I won't say more; it was the worst stay for the family, with the smell of urine in this heat—a disaster. We couldn't take our shower due to the smell of urine; it was a catastrophe.

Campsite to avoid
I will tell you about our incredible but true experience in this lunar campsite ...
I've never seen this in my life!!!
In June, we booked 3 mobile homes for one night on a Friday night in September after the campsite sent me a quote with 3 mobile home names and a very specific rate including a mobile home with 2 bathrooms.
We had 4 teenagers with us who were participating in an official sports competition in Grande-Synthe so we thought a mobile home with 2 bathrooms is great compared to our very tight timing.
I specify that we come from Normandy and we have 3 hours drive.
My parents (retirees) aged 70 and 73 arrive first around 4pm to collect the 3 keys to the mobile home since we work and arrived around 9:30pm / 10pm.
When my parents arrived on site, they found that we did not have the mobile home planned, they were not the same mobile home names of the estimate.
All the mobile homes had only one SDB, good pass again, for one night we will not chip.
On the road, around 8pm, my parents who had settled down call to tell me that they have no hot water in their mobile home and no microwave.
I try to contact the reception, I run into a lady who tells me that someone will come.
So the person in question is a lambda person, just one of the mobile home tenants who rents year round on the campsite.
He checks that the gas cylinder is not empty, then he checks the boiler.
The boiler's not back on the road, my parents are asking to speak to the Campsite Owner.
The tenant calls him on the phone and there they come across a very unkind person.
He says that if my parents disturb him for this (the joke!!!), he may arrive late not before 11pm and that they may go to bed late the time that he does not fix before 1am.
Spirits are getting a little heated before the Owner says to my parents without any qualms... "well if you really have a problem you have toilets with showers in the campsite"!!!
I recall that Saturday 14.09 in Bergues at 7am it was 8 °!!!
In mine, the map was missing for television good after it's not mean, I can live without.
However, for the situation concerning my parents, personally, I find this unacceptable.
I also point out that the price did not drop huh!
We paid the same rate as the quote.
Except that usually when I pay for a service I like everything to be there.
If I go to a restaurant I pay to eat on a table, if I go to the Pension I pay to sleep in a bed, ... so when I book a mobile home I also pay to use the shower with hot water, it seems logical.
I strongly recommend this campsite because the property owner is in very bad faith and very unkind.
I find it hard to believe that he was not aware of the boiler failure even if it did not bother him to rent the mobile home anyway.
We will return to the region because the city of Bergues is beautiful but not in the campsite Vauban.
