Perfect and beyond expectation
We had a thoroughly wonderful time as guests of Ryan and Agnes. They are great hosts and rightfully proud of what they have accomplished in the renovation of this property. It is easy to find; parking is straightforward and the welcome is worthy of any established 5-star hotel. Check in with a glass of champagne from a local 'micro' house - beat that if you can. A tour of the property and a overview of our room followed. Our room was just so. My wife said 'it's so clean' and believe me that is praise indeed. On our return in the evening Ryan and I caught up on the World Cup on the big screen. Breakfast is amazing; the pastries are way up there, the service is just so finely judged, and the right level of advice and thoughts were proffered for our day ahead. We were directed to record shops as well as a lovely walking tour of Reims. Don't be worried about being away from other parts of this seriously Champagne area - even with France playing a key football game we were easily able to get Ubers around from Maison to tours to dinner in Epernay and back. The property is tucked away and quiet; I like to run most mornings and was easily able to get up into the hills for a run through the Champagne vineyards. We don't really have enough superlatives for this faultless stay and recommend Maison à Deux Mains without reservation.

Wonderful Stay
In the heart of Ay, Agnes and Ryan have lovingly restored 3 buildings to make a luxurious B&B. We were welcomed with champagne and taken to our beautiful room. The linen on the bed, the toiletries, everything has been carefully curated. A beautiful home cooked breakfast every morning and then information as to where to go and what to see. A very warm and wonderful experience.

Pure enjoyment in a truly luxurious B&B
What a surprise if you drive from a narrow street into a spacious courtyard car park and are already welcomed by the hostess at your car! (with umbrella because it was raining). The host is not inferior to kindness and greets you very warmly in English, his mother tongue. The common areas are very tastefully decorated with attention to surprising detail. And yes, it absolutely lives up to the name bed&breakfast! The beds are lovely, the breakfast was superb. But it goes even further! Also the dinner, which is prepared by the host in his beautiful kitchen is really tasty. Definitely recommended if you want to spoil yourself!

One of the best France has to offer
What a wonderful home and the best hosts ever for our first 2 nights in France! This home was repurposed into a Bed and Breakfast with such care that nothing else in our 15 day journey through France could touch it. Ryan and Agnes speak English, and were so kind and helpful in every way, which made this another plus for staying at either the beginning or end of a trip through this lovely country. All I can say is please stay here if you are visiting Champagne country. You won’t regret it!!

A gem in Aÿ-Champagne
We have loved every bit of our stay at Maison à Deux Mains. From the warm welcome, to the generous welcome champagne drinks, to the tastefully decorated home by Agnes, to the delicious breakfast and dinner prepared by Ryan and Agnes, the list goes on and on. We slept very well, enjoyed the quaintness of Aÿ and its proximity to Épernay and ease of getting to and from whether by car or train. We are grateful for Agnes and Ryan, owners of the property, for sharing not just their beautiful home to guests but for their kindness, enthusiasm and useful advice/travel tips. We highly recommend this luxurious B&B for those visiting the Champagne region, it rivals the quality of some of the top tier hotels, yet comes with a lot of warmth and sincerity.
