Fabulous bed and breakfast, most highly recommended!
La Bastide de Bellegarde is a truly special place, the epitome of everything a French bed and breakfast should be – steeped in history, lovingly restored, filled with art and antiques, and hosted by the most engagin and genuinely lovely Brian. Brian is an artist in all ways, in the transformation of an old estate into a place of refinement and beauty, in the gorgeous plantings and landscaping, and in his absolutely fabulous cooking. Breakfast on the terrace each morning is a delight, everything you could want, and if you are able to have dinner at the inn it will be wonderful. Brian is generous in his attention to his guests, and his assistant Luana is simply amazing, a charming complement to Brian, thoughtful, intelligent, and someone I wish I’d had more time with. And she makes the world’s best omelets!

DREAMY, ELEGANT & RELAXING STAY!
What a DREAMY, ELEGANT, RELAXING STAY! This was our absolute best place we stayed during our entire month traveling Europe! The minute our family arrived Brian greeted us like family. He made sure we were taken care of, gave us a tour of his breathtaking historical Bastide. The rooms were magical, tidy, clean and decor takes you away to another time. The Bastide is elegant and tastefully decorated with gorgeous antique pieces, the views from the rooms of the garden below are absolutely stunning. The garden serenades you day and night with all the singing birds. The best part was walking the garden, riding bikes around the property after dinner and relaxing pool side getting to know guests from all over the world as we sipped refreshing Rose. The staff is so warm and friendly, and always there to answer any questions day or night. Brian is just an absolute GEM and so happy to have met him-most genuine, loving, joyful soul. Furthermore, they cook the most delicious breakfasts and dinners with fresh, organic local foods. We loved not having to drive or go anywhere to dine as they cater to all. He even cooked our pescatarian son specialty dishes for for dinner. La Bastide De Bellagarde is eveything one dreams about being in France. A little piece of paradise to absolutely discover.
A wonderful welcome, a delicious meal under the arbor, a room with an inimitable "British" style, very comfortable and cool (despite the outside heat).
It's a shame not to have had the time to enjoy the pool and the bikes! Thank you, Brian, for this truly great stay again (it was our second stay here), we will return. French friends, do not hesitate to make the journey to this little corner of happiness, you will not be disappointed, and Brian and his team truly deserve it!

Our stay at this beautiful bastide near Avignon was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. Brian took the time to tell us about the history of the bastide, which immediately added to its unique charm and atmosphere.
The interior is absolutely stunning. Everywhere you look, you’ll discover beautiful antiques and authentic details. You never stop noticing something new. The whole house has a warm, elegant, and relaxing ambiance.
Brian is an exceptional host—thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely caring. He makes sure you have everything you need and goes out of his way to make your stay special. His wonderful Irish expressions often made us smile.
With the bicycles provided by the bastide we cycled to Avignon. The route took us through beautiful orchards.
The food was another highlight. Both dinner and breakfast were generous, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious.

What a feast
Brian Kenna is a wonderful host and an excellent chef. He cares passionately for his environment - which is wonderful - and produced a meal that, for us, was the best we‘d had in the South of France all week.
Brian cooks with great talent and care - flavours are just bursting out of his meals.
The accommodation and settings are also second to none. If your disappointed in this establishment, there‘s not much help for you out there. Loved it!
