Nature and peace

It is a great, original yet modern place here in Utsjoki. Very personal and courteous. Unlike the large resorts, you live here in harmony with nature. Wonderful!

Chasing the Aurora

We wanted to see the Northern Lights so we headed to the northern most place we could in Finland! We came to Utsjoki and we checked into an amazing little cabin with 2 bedrooms that fit 4 easily, a great living space and a bathroom with a sauna! The food is amazing, the guides are helpful and engaging, and the owner is really wonderful. I highly recommend staying here and if you are here in the winter do the Sami dinner experience. It is amazing learning about the culture over such tasty food.

If I could, I would go back there immediately .

I am absolutely thrilled by this beautiful spot on earth!
Very nice rooms with a view of the river. I could even see the Northern Lights from the edge of the bed, as there were large windows!
In the morning, a breakfast buffet was offered with all the usual things like eggs with ham and bread/rolls, cold cuts and cheese, fruit and everything for the muesli. There was also plenty of tea and coffee, with cow's milk or the vegan version. I think I tried everything and found everything very tasty.
And then this enchanting nature and peaceful silence in the snow. Whether hiking or with snowshoes, husky sleigh ride or reindeer sleigh, walking on the frozen river, it was fantastic.
Unfortunately, I was only there for a week and I would love to go back there straight away. Big thanks to Majou, Illka and Pertti.

Amazing views!!

Located in a spectacular place!! what a view!!
Next to the Norwegian border.
You open the door to the room and there are many reindeer...
Careful and clean/new room.
I'd come back!!
Dinner is served in the restaurant. Breakfast is scarce.

A wonderful week

The cottage is tidy and cozy and very close to Teno river. The view is fantastic. It is a really peaceful view and the river is different every day. It is nice to watch it changing every day. We warmly recommend these cottages.
