Clean and quiet. Location great next to the river and short walk from downtown. Usually plenty of free parking. Nice breakfast buffet.

Right choice

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip because it was one of the recommendations made by the organizers.
The hotel is fine: comfortable, quiet, clean... but not in the center of Oulu... it is about 10-15 minutes walk... breakfast is buffet and quite varied; it is fine. The price... in the style of Finland... has sauna included (which we do not use)....
We also had a social dinner of the event we went to, with a closed menu of 52 euros that included a vegetable soup (very rich although small amount), salmon with potatoes, vegetables and a very rich sauce... and a chocolate brownie with fruits of the forest (small but rich); drinks were paid for separately. It was good, and the service impeccable, but I found it somewhat expensive for the quantities...
Overall I find it a good hotel option, with high prices, as in tofo Finland, although I think a somewhat more central option might be more apt to have atmosphere around.

I've lived in Oulu and visit it around two times a year, and I can vouch that this is the best hotel in the city. Beautiful location right next to the city center. Modern hotel in a fantastically remodeled former hospital. The hotel did not get 5 stars because the breakfast was just "standard."

Quiet location by the river, 15 min walk into town. Free parking. Cleaned and tidy.

Very characterful hotel.
Good breakfast & lovely evening meals .
Staff friendly.
Room had all we needed.
Good location too.
