Pleasant Stay
I've stayed at Maayo around 3–4 times already, and my last stay was April of 2025, so I know this review is a little late, but I still wanted to share my experience because I've always had a good stay here.
The location is convenient, especially if you're traveling to Cebu. It's easy to get to from the airport, and it's also close to Economic Zone 1 if you're in the area for business. It's just one ride away from restaurants and shopping malls. There's also Pacific Mall nearby if you don't mind a bit of walking.
The in-house restaurant is also good if you are tired to roam around the area. The individual meals are already quite filling for one person, so I think they're a good value for money. I also always make sure to include breakfast with my room because the breakfast buffet has a really good variety of food. There are cereals, yogurt, pastries, and different local dishes like dried fish, chicken, fish, and more. Coffee and juice are also included.
I like the atmosphere of the hotel. It's clean, quiet, and relaxing, and I've always noticed that the carpets are well-maintained and neatly vacuumed.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, and I also appreciate the complimentary snacks and bottled water. I particularly like that they use glass bottles for the water instead of plastic ones, which is a nice little touch for reducing plastic waste. The TV has variety of channels to choose from.
As for the noise, I've never had any problems during my stays. The rooms seem to be well soundproofed because I never really heard loud noises from outside or from other rooms.
I'd like to give a special thanks to Francis, Jeffrey, Honey, and Val, who assisted us during our last stay.
Overall, I've always enjoyed staying at Maayo, and I would definitely come back again. Keep up the good work, Maayo!

Great experience
We with my co-employee of Deped really enjoy our stay in your hotel. The establishment is so niceand beatiful, the staff were accomodating. Over all it is commendable. We will recomend to our friends.

Never AGAIN Maayo!!
I have always been a loyal guest of Maayo Hotel. Every time my family visits Cebu, we choose to stay here cuz we trusted the quality of ur service. Sadly, after our recnt experience, that trust has been broken.
We booked a wedding prep package from July 6–8, checked out on July 8, then returned on July 9 and stayed until July 10. During our final checkout, my husband discovered that our car had been damaged while parked on the hotel premises. The front right side had visible scratches, and part of the bumper had come loose.
We immediately reported the incident to the head of security before leaving for the airport because we had a flight to catch. I even asked them to contact me using the information at the front desk. We expected the hotel to investigate the matter promptly.
Instead, we waited for days without any update. After following up multiple times over several weeks, the only response we received was that their CCTV only monitors vehicles entering and exiting the parking area and that the footage had already been automatically deleted.
What disappoints me most is that this response completely avoids the main concern. We reported the incident immediately, yet no one reviewed or preserved the CCTV footage while it was still available. We also noticed CCTV cameras in the parking area, but no explanation was given as to whether those cameras were checked. We were simply told the footage was already gone.
We were not demanding compensation. We only wanted the hotel to help identify who damaged our vehicle. Instead, we experienced delayed communication, no meaningful investigation, and responses that felt like standard templates rather than answers to our questions.
As loyal guests, we expected Maayo Hotel to show accountability and genuine concern. Unfortunately, this experience has left us feeling unsupported. I hope the hotel improves its security procedures, incident handling, and customer service so that future guests do not have to go through the same experience.

"Concierge excellence at its finest."
Nothing was too much trouble for Jeff, every interaction we had with him, had made us feel genuinely valued as a guest.
From carrying shopping bags to our room, coordinating our laundry, assisting when I was admitted to the emergency hospital next door, offering taxi bookings and providing advice on local shops etc.
Jeff is a respected and true assest to the Maayo Hotel team.
