Cosy hotel in the centre of Susice
Cozy hotel in the center of Susice. We've been there a dozen times in the last 20 years. The rooms in the hotel have been nicely renovated with very good beds. The bathrooms are very nice and spacious. The menu of the restaurant is no longer as complete but still tasty. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice hotel , close to main square
A nice hotel just a stone throw from the main square. The rooms simple but clean as well as the bathroom. My bathroom was small but with amenities such as shampoo, soap and body lotion. The staff helpful and informative. Breakfast was good - choices of juices, cold cuts, veggie, eggs, sausages and sweets + tea and/or fresh coffee.

Cheap, yes, but still the need to repair the toilet seats!!!
I and a colleague stayed for one night on business. At first appearance it seemed OK especially for less tahn 30€!!. But on closer contact there were too many poor points to ignore. In the bathroom the toilet seat was cracked (and so was the one in my colleagues room!!! so no accident), the shelf was also broken, the shower leked and the shower head was set so high on the wall that I (1,75m, 5ft 10in.) could hardly reach it. The w-lan is hardly useable - very weak- the furniture is very cheap - the "wardrobe" so narrow that the coathangers cannot hang straight. Altogether, despite the low price, not good enough! Thed was also hard and the sound from the street was loud.
The place seemed to be run by one person, who ran reception and waited in the restaurant. He was very efficient and friendly but one man cannot run the place!
I have stayed at many and varied hotels in my biz career (see my other Tripadvisor reports) and am normally positive but this hotel needs a lot of improvement.
Unfortunately the hotel is still a hangover from the old E. Europe

Good Location and Value for Money.
Arrived in Susice without booking a room. Recommended by a local to try the Hotel Gabreta, just off the town square. The hotel is well kept but basis. After a comical conversation with the lady at reception ( due totally to my lack of Czech and the lack of a mutual language between us,) I booked a twin room with breakfast and was shown to a very clean but basis room.
The bathroom was clean but sparse, however everything worked and the shower was excellent and piping hot. The other half and I took a wander around the town looking for somewhere to eat but ended up back at the hotel for an evening meal.
The meal was wholesome and plentiful but the roast 'wild boar,' bore more than a passing resemblance to 'boiled beef' that was on the menu as well..! ( Again, something else I will put down to a communication problem ! ) We enjoyed the meal and were very surprised at the £11.00 bill for drinks and a meal for two !
I did not hold out high hopes for breakfast the next morning, but could not have been more wrong. It was fine, with the usual continental fare of cereals, cheeses, meats, hot rolls, juice etc. Plenty to eat and choose from. I definitely was not going to grumble when the whole the cost £ 30.00 !

Aangenaam hotel in centrum van Sušice
Ik verbleef twee nachten in dit hotel. Check-in was zogenaamd maar tot 18 uur maar het is geen enkel probleem om later in te checken. De man die mij incheckte sprak uitstekend Duits. Het is een aangenaam hotel in het centrum van Sušice. Veel wandelmogelijkheden in de buurt. Er zijn busverbindingen naar o.m. Kvilda, Petrovice en Klatovy. Ik had een kleine eenpersoonskamer. Douche was wel nogal verouderd. Goede WiFi-verbinding. Ontbijtbuffet degelijk met uitstekende vers gemaakte koffie. Ik heb niet gegeten in het restaurant maar wel gebruik gemaakt van de gezellige bar in dezelfde ruimte. Communicatie van het restaurant laat wel enigszins te wensen over want meerdere mails m.b.t. een verlenging van mijn verblijf bleven gewoon onbeantwoord.
