Dreadful experience

Awful awful hotel! Honestly can’t think of one thing about this place that’s even vaguely positive. Arrived 7.06pm after a 2 hour delay in airport due to queues at security and the receptionist was leaving telling us the reservation was only until 7 - we’d paid in full in advance? She “allowed” us to check in tutting at us and just rude.
The room - stayed in a twin. It was dreadful. Dark, damaged, small, poor layout. Paid for “terrace” but it was a small outdoor area shared with a number of other rooms, no chairs for us as only 3 in total, and just poor. To open the window was a concern as no privacy at all from the “terrace” if others using it do fearful for safety and sleep!
The beds were tail to tail. Like a hostel. That would be a better description of the place. Low quality, dated and tacky.
The hotel says 4* online. I expected 3* but I can honestly say I’d be surprised if it even has 2.
It was so poor that we left that night and booked an alternative hotel for the stay losing out on hundreds of pounds.
I didn’t feel safe there. It was honestly the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. For the same price and the same star rating, the alternative hotel was so very different making me glad I moved.
In summary - Poor quality, poor location, tacky, drab, feels unsafe, rude staff, more like a hostel for stag dos who don’t care where they stay than families visiting Prague.

No recommendation

We arrived here yesterday. The young man at the reception was friendly. That is also the only positive point. The hotel itself has really aged. In the long dark hallway to our room, the light turns on automatically, or sometimes it does not. The doors to the rooms are old. In the bathroom, one must be careful not to cut their feet on the broken tiles. The mattresses are worn out. The room is very small. In the middle of the room, there is also a column that takes up even more space. Under our room 227, there is a smoking area that is also used. Early in the morning is not really our thing. The room appears worn. In Prague, almost every room can be rented, but the chain seems to only collect money and not reinvest it back into the hotel. Very unfortunate.

Attention

I recommend to ascertain well the type of room booked... because we with standard double room .. the first evening we were presented room two meters wide with two single beds put in a row .. never seen before such a thing .. then after various complaints the other two nights in a normal room... I say nothing above other things...

4 stars? Maybe 2.

4 stars? Maybe 2.
Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
I do not understand how the competent body can award 4 stars.
Building and old rooms.
Stained carpet everywhere.
Many dirty walls and in some places scratched.
Completely dark corridor because the sensors of the automatic lights are badly positioned, so you have to walk in total darkness.
Small TV. No international channels.
Jacket with a loose button. I asked for a sewing kit, normally available in any room of a 4 star hotel, but they didn't have any throughout the hotel!
No common area for socializing.
Very bad breakfast.
Good location.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT.

I will never return, I strongly advise against

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and unfortunately it was an experience that I will not forget easily and not in a positive sense.
Since my arrival I have noticed a lot of rudeness on the part of the hotel staff and a poor general cleanliness: dirty floors, ruined walls and an unpleasant smell that hovered in the rooms.
My room was dimly lit, with dim light bulbs that made the environment gloomy and unwelcoming.
In the corridors, the situation was even worse: the lights only come on as they pass by, but they often do not work properly, leaving entire areas completely in the dark.
So moving around in the evening was pretty creepy.
Another extremely negative aspect is the total lack of security.
The reception closes at 19:00 and after that time there is no one left.
You find yourself practically alone in the hotel, without any reference point in case of emergency.
The most serious thing though is what happened during my stay.
In a completely dark and abandoned room that I had to walk through to get to my room (I think it was some kind of canteen) I found a creepy man on substances. He had entered the building without anyone noticing, taking advantage of the total absence of controls. Shortly after it was discovered that he had managed to steal personal items by breaking into a room that was empty at the time, using a window left open.
Knowing that a stranger could wander the corridors undisturbed, in total darkness, and even enter the rooms was extremely disturbing.
Although there was no one in the room at the time, the episode shows how the hotel lacks any proper security system.
This experience left me with a strong feeling of insecurity and discomfort. A hotel should be a safe place to rest peacefully, not a place to feel vulnerable. I will never come back, I highly recommend this property to anyone who values their tranquility and safety.
