Very good location in order to visit the park. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and plus it’s free. By far, one of the best breakfast free, we ever had. Great hotel about quality vs price.

Horrible time-travel experience

I think we stayed here for 3 nights, as we paid for that. Though I’m not quite sure, as I have experienced time-travelling (and the fact that we normally sleep during nights...)
My time-travel experience has started in the 80’s. I guess this place was build during that period. However, it is left untouched ever since, without any maintenance or renovations. Too bad that literally every single item in here (the bathroom in particular) is now outdated and/or broken. I guess this hotel is like a legend to handymen: not a single one has ever seen it.
So I moved into the 90’s, those times of greasy food, as well as noisy and smelly cars. You can all find it here in the restaurant and adjacent car park and roads. However, (and this is very convenient for a time-travel experience) you will be able to experience all of this from your room! The smell of deep fried breakfast (literally!) penetrates your room at 7am sharp, and everything in the hotel is noisy (probably the single layered glass, as well as those disturbingly big cracks in the walls and floors).
Now, the 00’s, the times of the first cellphones, upcoming internet and the final decade in which indoor smoking in public places is still allowed. Do you still remember people shouting in their first cellphones like nobody was near? Well, they still do it here. And as it turns out: locals also started doing this during any normal face to face conversations, even with their wives and children, loud and clear, not caring about anyone, great!
Also recall the dial-in internet from the 00’s? Just expect such speeds as a maximum, and you’re good. Ohh and yeah, they still smoke in here. How about having this smell also penetrating your room every evening, such an awesome 00’s experience!
Finally, the present 10’s. That period in which any hotel is equipped with air-conditioning, has curtains to blind windows, and people around who actually care about the beautiful environment out here. These years you can best experience by just getting out of here as fast as you can, and dive into the timeless outdoor beauty that Durmitor has to offer. Just don’t do it from this hotel, okay?
Honestly, I don’t understand the high rating of this hotel. Was it rated by homeless people? This hotel doesn’t live up to any western standard, and it is probably best to just burn it down immediately.
——
Note that I wrote this review out of complete boredom from within the hotel during the final ‘night’, while being forced to smell deep-fried breakfast and fried eggs being prepared, and having to overhear a loud and long conversation outside.. This conversation started before 6 in the morning, while both locals just continue to run their cars idle (both from the 80’s, obviously).
Come on people from Žabljak! Grow-up and appreciate the environment you’re in!

Dated ski hotel

We stayed as part of a small tour group. Everyone commented that their bathrooms were absolutely tiny, even if the room was big! Our bathroom was not quite big enough to fit the shower and sink, so the sink stuck out into the shower space. The room had a lot of wooden panels, was rather dark and had the feel of an elderly Alpine chalet. The window did not bolt into the frame, so although the windows locked together it was not secure as you could just push them open. There was no fridge, no air conditioning and no lift. The hotel is in a residential cul-de-sac 10-15 mins walk from the town centre, so it is quite handy for banks, restaurants etc. The area feels quite up-and-coming with lots of new holiday accommodation recently built, so unless this hotel gets an update I guess they will struggle to compete with more modern alternatives nearby.

Very good in comparison to apartmani

So we stayed in the town for 5 days in the first week of August, all hotels were full. Only apartmani were available, but was not comfortable with shared bathroom idea, let alone miserable beds, after 3 nights wondering around those apartmani, we were able to find 1 available room on this hotel left, the price was ok 55€ for two including free wifi and breakfast. The receptionist is the owner daughter, very helpful, nice, and speaks English fluently .
The room is about 24f , bed is a littel small for 2 ppl., but comfortable enough. It's exactly in centre of the town, 3 minutes walk to the vegetable shops, supermarket, and main bus stop where the only Gaz station is available around that mountain.
