Fabulous hotel

Fabulous family run hotel. We, in 12, were greeted with extreme kindness, we were also offered a welcome drink, outside, in the garden of the restaurant. We ate well and the owner explained the story of his family for 5 generations owner of the hotel. Thanks also to all the other staff, really cute. Bravo all, you welcomed us as if we were family...

A period hotel with a lot of history

We stayed at this unique hotel during our stay in Zagreb on the Croatian circuit, and it was a positive experience. We arrived for dinner and the owner welcomed us with a champagne toast and involving different members of the group in opening and uncorking the bottle. He showed us his private museum based on books with recipes for worldwide cuisine, pictures and culinary utensils, really interesting...!!
Then we were given a very rich homemade dinner and very friendly and willing Service.
The rooms and corridors of the hotel are spectacularly beautiful for the period decoration (19th century), worthy of being photographed... quite an experience...!!

Charming hotel, good price but the rooms are not very comfortable. It is a bit far from the city center

Comfort was NO AC as advertised and bed comforter was wrong size for bed.Asked to have AC turned on or a portable fan and owner said NO to both .We even offered to pay for a portable fan if they got one .Still NO .Dirty under furniture and lots of fluff under big dresser. Good news the desk staff was wonderful.Room large and well furnished.Bathroom had tub mat anti slip.Restaurant next door,owned by same person, was excellent.Breakfast was simple.Had they been willing to work with us, on AC being broken, and had got us a fan, even at our expense, our rating would have been a 4.BUT the unhelpful attitude forces a 3.
