Hotel TOP!!

I stayed here for 6 days half board very clean hotel large rooms with kitchenette and balcony overlooking the sea the staff is very kind and above all very helpful. Fantastic dinner with à la carte menu lots of fish vegetables fruit and desserts. Very good breakfast varied and excellent quality! Structure very close to the park of Paklenica so that to climb we reached the walls in 5 minutes by bike!

Great experience !!

We had great time on bike tour organized by Hotel Rajna. Our tour guide Iva was very knowledgeable about history of Velebit, Paklenica, old habitats and habits of this beautiful area. She was also very accommodating and adjustable to our two kids who enjoyed every minute of tour.
Great landscape, sightseeing, nature, lots of interesting facts and good company...what more to expect from tour ?

Best hotel in Starigrad

Probably the best small hotel in Starigrad. We enjoyed our stay here a lot. Nice room with balcony and perfect breakfasts!
The hotel is owned by local family for many, many years. We got great tips for hiking from the owner.
You can also rent a safari day tour in jeeps around the area, especially if you are a fan of Winetou movies, you will enjoy it!
You can rent many other things like bikes or kajaks or climbing guide.
The only small negative thing was the noise from the road next to the hotel. We slept with ear plugs and it was fine. Also would be good to install mosquito net on the balcony doors.
Overall it is a great place to stay if you don't want to be in the big crowded beach hotel. The owners are great people.

Fantastic Hotel, Tour Operator and Location

Hotel Rajna is owned by the Marisovic family. One of a few who have inhabited this region for centuries.
It’s perfected located in the town referred to as, “Where the Mountains meet the Sea.”
You can get fresh grown muscles just a short distance away. Walk 10 minutes to a pebble beach with seaside bars and large activity center that’s never crowded.
2 km walk to the entrance of Paklenica National Park.
Hotel Rajna offers three meals per day, kayak and bike rentals, hiking and rock climbing guides and photo safaris in one of many 4 x 4 Jeep’s.
The patio setting is beautiful and service is fantastic!

GOOD FOR BUTTERFLIES

Decent clean hotel but I found the facilities rather basic. What is certainly true is that the views are excellent over the sea at the front and towards the mountains at the rear.
The food was nourishing and ample.
The air con worked well and was not too noisy so I got a good nights sleep on the 3 nights I stayed. I felt that the furniture was too simple especially in the bathroom where the shower screen was at the opposite end of the bath from the shower. Therefore wet and slippery floors. The lack of a lift might put some guests off.
Immeadiately over the road was an open area with fields harbouring some lovely butterflies and a good walk down to the sea. But not to a sandy beach.
