Villa Gloria

Surrounded by a lush 33 ft² green area, in quiet setting 1.9 mi from Poreč, Villa Gloria offers a swimming pool with a spacious terrace fitted with sun loungers, parasols and a bar. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and there are several tennis courts at their disposal. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are provided. Each room has a private balcony with seating area and a bathroom with a shower. Every unit is air-conditioned and has a TV. The Tavernetta Restaurant offers a daily breakfast buffet and features a terrace which is linked to the swimming pool terrace with sea views. Villa Gloria offers bicycle rental to explore the countryside. There are also 4 tennis courts which are illuminated during the night.

Tennis & Pool

Everything is really nice, all in one place!
Rooms, restaurant, tennis court and pool, everything what we needed for perfect wacation!
We also enjoyed in masages next to the pool, really. recomending it

Not a great experience

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner Gloria very unkindly for check in. Unfortunately, this bad first impression was confirmed in the following days by many small, sometimes patchy and disrespectful comments. The facility itself is ok, for us the last time anyway.

A great pool and tennis courts

We enjoy our stay at Gloria villa. A great pool and tennis courts!
The owner is very kind and cares about her guests.
Breakfast is nice and you can find lots of restaurants in Istria.
We Enjoyed the area and the stay.

Looks better on photo when it is - poor service, nothing special in the place, very far from the sea

We spent 2 weeks at Villa Gloria with 3 kids being in tennis camp. Having no rooms available in Gloria we were offered to stay in appartments 5 min walking distance. Suprising the fact, that no room service is supposed, no cleaning is included. We had breakfasts and dinners included in Gloria, breakfasts are very poor, with 2 kinds of yougurt available, ham and cheese (in the same plate). No coffee is served (untill you ask 2 times), for eggs you should also ask specially. For kids no food, 10 crousants was baked once an hour, that was nothing for 10 kids in tennis camp. Dinners were good, but a lot of potatoes, salad with cabbage, sausages, fat meat - not that you expect from a mediterenian vacation. Fish was a nice exception - we were told that to have fish you should ask a long ahead so chef goes to market and buy it. No cheques are provided to sigh after dinner for drinks - wine and juce, so it is suprising how they calculate it to make you pay when check out.
One nice place - is a pool, but nothing around! No place for jogging, biling - nothing in a village. To get to the see you should take taxi (one way 20 min = 30 euros to get to the closest place). Order taxi in hotel Gloria - need to wait 30 min, you should find a local driver to support you during the vacation.
If not the tennis camp - nothing to do in Villa Gloria! Boring, very poor service, nothing for kids (only the pool), nothing special on breakfasts and dinners (you can go to supermarket and purchase the same food for much less money). It is a family hotel - you meet all the family there. But even after you provide your eedback and recomendation, they don't care and don't try to make your staying more convenient and pleasant. Same problems every day - no cleaning service, no taxi, no food for kids, no fish on dinner. Wwe asked for apple juice 3 days - they sad "sorry, we still can not buy it..hopefully tomorow".
What we really appreciated - the ladies that served the dinnner, very nice and pleasant, and they cooked a good desserts! They spoke only croatian language (No english, german, italian, russian) which was hard for communication, but were much pleasant then Gloria family who own Villa Gloria and "take care" of guests.
Tennis camp is OK, but only 2 one-hour trainings, no other excersises and preparations during the day.
We spent 920 euro per person per week (2 hours daily tennis included) and got less then 3 stars service, accomodation, cousine and vacation!
We settled all the questions finally and came to the mutual respect and agreement, but next year will definetely find better place, service and staying for that money!!

A nice place to stay a few days.

This family hotel is divided into the hotel and its amenities. The hotel is well run and clean. We stayed a few days after extending our initial stay. Breakfast is well done with a good and diverse choice of food. According to its price the hotel is certainly value for money.
There is large pool with deck-chairs and several tennis courts. At the pool you will also find the restaurant where one can dine and have drinks during the day. The manager doesn't keep a sharp eye on his accounting, so I advise to have a written copy of what you consume. I didn't like the music at the pool very much but then other (younger) people did. All in all, the pool and tennis courts are nice. Sunset is great.
If I ever have the opportunity I would return also because Porec is a nice little town.
