Highly recommended

Guangzhou is a vast, sprawling city, which can make choosing where to stay a challenge. As a solo female traveller, I selected the Guangdong Yingbin Hotel for its central location and historic character—and it proved to be an excellent choice.
The hotel is conveniently close to major attractions, including the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Shamian Island, and Beijing Road. Situated on a main road, it’s easy for Didi drivers to locate, while Dongyuanqian Metro Station is also nearby, making it simple to get around the city.
The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and efficiently run. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants within walking distance, and the surrounding area feels safe and comfortable to explore. A generous upgrade to a suite for my three days was appreciated.
I would highly recommend this hotel to solo female travellers seeking a convenient and secure base in Guangzhou.

I stayed at this hotel during the Canton Fair. They haven't bus service that takes you from the hotel to the fair. It is about a 45 minute drive so it's not close to the fair area. As far as the location off this hotel it is about 20 minute walk from Beijing Street which is a very nice walking area near the Buddha temple. This hotel has some nice traditional monuments around that one can walk to. The hotel is spread out so rooms can be in different buildings. My room was in a different building so I had to walk to the main building for breakfast but the walk was really nice through this beautiful garden that was wonderfully landscaped with old growth Banyan trees. There are no coffee shops nearby but at 10 to 15 minute walk will get you to the city center where there are lots of restaurants and coffee places to choose from. I like this hotel partly because it was away from the rush. The stuff was very friendly and many of them spoke English. They offered a free breakfast in the morning which was very lavish. Overall I will give this hotel a 4.5 star.

This vintage property has beautiful grounds, excellent gym and big swimming pool. The room is spacious. The location is great and very tranquil.
The "hot tub" in the pool area is not a hot tub at all. It was just room temperature water, which is a disappointment. The property could improve by installing guest laundry facility. I was given two packs of laundry detergent free in my room, but there's no laundry facility to use these detergent. I was told the detergent was to be used for hand washing my clothes in my room. That does not make sense.
There is the direct bus to Hong Kong and Kowloon, which is very convenient for travellers. The staff were helpful. Service was prompt and courteous.

The room is spacious and clean. All the staff are kind and helpful. The hotel looks like a small beautiful park.

Check-in was a breeze. The girls at the front desk were very polite and professional. My room was a suite so no complaints! This is my 3rd visit to the hotel. It’s very convenient from the bus stop I take from Hong Kong. We stayed for 2 nights. There is also a restaurant in the girl that is very good!
