The hotel does very little to communicate and fully explain in detail to their guests when they check in, we did not know that the hotel was offering dinner to their to its guest on the day of our arrival, we had to ask around, and in so doing it seemed as though we where trying to get crush for a free dinner, the package we booked for had an executive lounge happy hour and light dinner, we had to prove ourselves that we had booked and paid for a package deal. The hotel really needs to improve on their service and alert their guests on what is happening in the hotel so as to avoid embarrassing and unnecessary confusion. The room was clean, but the amenities offered are not up to par. The air conditioner was not making the room cool enough. The room was hot, and the air was tight. The food was good and we were satisfied, this was the best part for my family and I, we where actually skeptical thinking that it's going to be all Chinese but surprisingly we ate more than we anticipated for.
The hotel is a good hotel. Would i recommend someone to go and stay there? Yes! But they need to seriously improve on communication and overall service towards their guests, especially foreign guests who want to try out Chinese cuisines, you need to raise the bar and look for service providers who are bilingual so as to facilitate a good service. And please add more pastry recipes to your menu 😋

We apologize for the inconvenience and embarrassment caused by failing to provide adequate communication and explanation during your stay. After receiving your valuable feedback on room facilities and services, we know that there are some shortcomings in air conditioning, amenities and room service quality. The hotel's executive lounge was indeed closed due to equipment failure on April 4th. However, the hotel provided corresponding afternoon tea snacks and executive lounge privileges at the lobby bar at the same time.that evening, when we noticed that you were inquiring about where to enjoy the happy hour on the executive floor, our hotel staff immediately applied for a complimentary buffet dinner for your family as compensation, hoping to show you and your family the hotel's sincerity. We recognize that providing clear communication of such information is an important part of interpersonal relationship and service quality. To this end, we have decided to: 1. Strengthen the training of the reception team at the front desk to ensure that every guest can be fully explained after check-in and aware of various special services during the stay, including dinner arrangements and hotel supporting benefits. 2. In view of the upgrade and optimization plan of room facilities, comprehensive inspection and maintenance of air-conditioning system is being implemented, and communication with room cleaning staff is strengthened to ensure that the environmental comfort of each room will be improved in the future. 3. Menu optimization: We do plan to adjust food options, taking into account Chinese characteristics and international tastes, and provide richer dishes and more pastry choices. 4. Bilingual service training: We will start the plan to upgrade the reserve of bilingual service personnel. Language understanding and communication around the world are the keys to our future service strengthening. We understand that a multilingual service environment can provide a better travel experience for international guests. Thank you again for your comments and suggestions. We promise to use this as a starting point to continuously improve our service quality and ensure that every guest can enjoy an outstanding experience. Appreciate the upgrade to club level at 15th floor but the room was very warm despite I opened the window & it was winter time. No air con available so room service pushed in an old, bulky & noisy 1 & only 1 portable “air conditioning”. 1st time in my life I stayed in a 5 stars hotel room feeling uncomfortable, noisy (from the street & the bulky air conditioning) & sweaty thru out the night. Asked to change room the next day. Hotel changed both my & my children room to a lower floor. Much cooler but air pollution was the killer this time. Rooms & corridors walkway were infested with cigarette smell & smoke. Yes I saw cigarette smoke coming out from a few rooms when I was walking to my children’s room. This is really the greatest problem with China hotels. China guests are fine to ignore the non smoking signs in the rooms & toilets. Room complementary services were miserable. Only 2 cups, no spoons. Average quality shower gel was used. Breakfast was below average for a 5 stars hotel. Location was okay. There is a big mall opposite & some nice restaurants nearby. Next time I shall stick to staying in an international hotel over China hotels unless they can adhere to the non smoking rule & provide 5 stars room services for 5 stars price.
