This hotel is not to be missed. Great nice fellow workers and English speaking

If you are near Yangshuo or Guilin then definitely should take this hotel. You get a warm sincere welcome when you arrive and the same as your departure. Almost all of them speak english and they are very helpful in booking trips and point you on your way to certain destinations. Even walk along to the bike/scooter rental. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is great and there is a wide choice between Western and Chinese food. There is a swimming pool for a nice swim in hot weather. The rooms are fine and good air conditioning is available. All in all a great hotel with a lot of attention to guests.

Super hotel, location and experience

Great authentic hotel, centrally located with a lovely courtyard to enjoy from breakfast to dinner.
Staff very friendly, genuinely interested, helpful and good English speaking.

An exquisite island surrounded by the ugly modern

The old part of the hotel is phenomenal. Designed by a Dutchman, it tastes exquisite. The staff is very friendly even if their level of English is very low. The rooms are spacious and the bedding excellent.
I had dinner at the hotel and Chinese cuisine is good. I admit that I’m always appalled that some people come to eat carbonara spaghetti in the far end of China... not to find it good...
Nice wine list.
The only downside is that the new owner is the one who built right next door the ugly modern building which is therefore an extension, which some like, of the old part. The hotel thus gives the impression of being an island surrounded by the ugly one that invades the valley. It was probably when he saw this encirclement that the founder of the hotel sold.
The prices are very correct.

Homey hotel in the Yangshuo countryside

The hotel that feels the most like home in Yangshuo. The staff are helpful and warm, and the coziness of the rooms in the renovated farmer's houses is unmatched. Meanwhile, you find yourself next to rice fields and the beautiful mountains, only a stone's throw from the Yulong river.

A great place to stay in Yangshuo

We had a fabulous time at the Giggling Tree. The new rooms are absolutely enormous and the views of the Yulong valley are unbelievable. It's very close to Yangshuo city but it's right in the countryside. The pool is amazing and the food at the restaurant is just great - the menus are in English and there's a wide range of western food in addition to many local dishes. The staff are great and have good English. Parts of the hotel are within 300 year old traditional houses that have been lovingly restored while the newest buildings are very luxurious. We loved our time here and plan on returning A.S.A.P.
