A beautiful experience!

A wonderful place where we relaxed and admired the ingenious way in which architecture and modern art are combined. We were welcomed with warmth and hospitality and appreciated the communication with the resort staff. It is a unique place where you definitely want to see it again. The restaurant is also integrated into the concept of modern art but the offer has to be improved.

Beautiful property in a picturesque location with stunning views

We have spent 4 nights at Art Complex Anel and we were super satisfied with our stay. The check-in process took probably 1 minute, the lady at the reception was kind and informative.
We have booked the Deluxe Double Room which was spacious with a walk-in closet to store all our clothes and bags comfortably. The bed was huge and comfy. The design of the room is slightly dated but everything is clean and spacious. The view from our terrace was stunning. We have noticed that the hotel is designed in a way that all rooms have a beautiful sea view which is very thoughtful as most hotels charge extra for that but that is not the case here. The rooms have towels, amenities, hair dryer, wine glasses, wine opener, cutlery and even a big fridge.
The grounds are green and well maintained with statues scattered all over the property. The infinity pool is big and clean, there is a little beach in the cove (unfortunately, there were no sunbeds as pictured) and the highlight is the natural salt pool which is so unique and offers a peaceful place to stay and rest. There are plenty of sunbed options (by the pool, salt lake, under the trees in the shadow, on the grass).
The breakfast is simple and the selection is quite small and the same every day, however we were always happy with the breakfast and never gone hungry. The waiters are working hard, they are attentive and extremely polite.
The parking is offered outside and inside of the complex for guests.
One thing we considered as a significant minus was that the hotel allows one-day visits, so even people who are not the guests of the hotel can purchase a one day pass to spend the day at the pool. We have noticed an influx of people coming to the pool starting Thursday and it got worse as the weekend approached. They were mostly teenagers and groups of rather loud locals that took up most sunbeds which can result in the paying guests not being able to find their spot at the pool or sea if they come a bit later.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the significant portion of the guests are local tourists, so the hotel gets super busy during the weekend. Fortunately, we stayed Tue-Sat and the first days were super peaceful, however, come Friday, the hotel started to fill up and Saturday morning it was loud and busy as early as 8:15 am at breakfast.
Also, considering the rugged terrain and the rather dangerous cliffs and steep stairs, we did not expect this to be a family hotel, however the infinity pool upstairs was always full of children and quite loud so we preferred to stay downstairs by the salt lake as it was more peaceful. The hotel does not necessarily advertise itself as child friendly but do keep in mind that (even though not pictured), there is a trampoline and a slide right next to the main infinity pool.
The hotel is pet friendly and we have met many small and wonderfully behaved doggies during our stay :)
Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely consider coming back in the future.

Very bad place to stay poor quality!!!!

Hello, I checked into the hotel last night. Completely different room than the pictures. Very dark suite with dark wood floors and dark grey futon couch that was turned on not a bed in the living room area. The furniture was as dark as th floors, no furniture was light colored like the pictures. The bed was in the living room area, a futon not a real couch, and the living room was shared with a large table for the kitchen with 8 chairs, took up half the room the other half was the futon bed. Also, there was poor lighting only overhead, no lamps in the living room / kitchen. One lamp in the bedroom not working. There was a large banner sign on the balcony advertising for sale sign, blocking the view to the tennis courts. No real nice view of the sea, only in the great distance. No sitting furniture on the balcony. I tried to eat in the restaurant but it was all reserved seating and no outdoor seating as it had rained. The unit was just off the street. Others guests (couples) were waiting to check in to the hotel, but the hotel manager said that the suite they gave me was the only one available. I think I had the worst unit there and it was quite dated and run down, like from the 70’s, nothing like the pictures!!!!!! I did not stay there, I checked into a different hotel because I felt very uncomfortable and wanted a nice relaxing stay somewhere bright and airy this weekend.

Nice holiday place

I imagine that in the summer months, this place is wonderful. The view is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. We came in May and it felt like they were still getting ready for the big season. The balcony needed some cleaning and the rooms could use a little love. Nothing terrible, just more than perfunctory. It would have been nice if the extra pillows in the closet had pillow cases. And we would have loved some more coffee along with sugars and cream (or at least whitener). The staff was friendly and service was good. We might have stayed another night if we had more time.

Heaven on earth

Possibly the best hotel in Sozopol with amazing views, great quality accommodation and friendly staff. It is a very luxurious setting, however, extremely welcoming and cosy making your stay truly relaxing. It is not cheap but worth the price for a holiday to remember. Location is close to other restaurants with good food and cheaper than the hotel restaurant.
