Location and cost benefit

The location is good, with varied trade in the vicinity. The price of accommodation is fair for a simple hotel and with a breakfast with few options. A closet was missing in the room. Air conditioning working well, tv with satellite channels and spacious bathroom.

Room was clean but sparse - no bedside table for example. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. Breakfast was good.

Terrible attendance

Terrible service at the hotel reception. I arrived in the early hours of the morning, alone, I was very poorly received, there was a lack of cordiality, I felt like I was receiving a favor, with very bad taste. They gave me a package with the controls and supposedly the key, which wasn't there. I asked for a room with a double bed and they gave me two single beds. As it was late, I had brought dinner and asked for a spoon, but they charged me 10 reais for a plastic spoon. And breakfast doesn't have eggs. I do not recommend.

Horrible unsafe hotel

I stayed here for one night with my partner before our trip to the Amazon. The hotel receptionist on arrival was standoffish and unwelcoming. The room was grubby with blood on one of the beds (we were given two singles although we paid for a double room) there were bugs everywhere as the large windows had been left wide open and in general the room wasn't exactly clean. The worst part of our stay was receiving a call at 2.30am. I woke up to a phone call from a man saying "can I speak to your friend, kiss" in poor English over and over. I daren't put him on the phone to my boyfriend as I was worried as to what would have been said. I kept telling the man "I don't understand" and eventually he hung up. I assume it was some kind of prank call from reception given the time of night. I was petrified to go to sleep after this and lay awake with my partner worried about what was going to happen next. We could see from our room (across the gardens that lead to reception) two men in and out of the garden which all looked shifty and as no one spoke English we didn't fancy going over to see what it was all about. There was no security and the doors the the room are wooden with a key (and let loads of light in) We cancelled our next stay at the hotel which would have been after our trip to the Amazon and stayed at the holiday inn instead which was 100 times better in every way for just £25 more it's worth it. I really wouldn't recommend staying at continental park.

We did not enjoy our stay at the continental park. The staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful. The rooms were full of bugs as they'd left the large windows wide open and one bed had blood stains. The towels/floor were grubby. The phone rang at 2.30am and the man on the other end said in poor English "can I speak to your friend" over and over and when I didn't pass the phone to my boyfriend as I was worried what would happen they hung up. This unnerved us for the rest of the night as the rooms are set in a garden area and do not feel safe at all. Couldn't wait to get out and cancelled our stay we had booked there for the end of our trip. We stayed at the holiday inn which is 10000 times better
