Romantic hideaway in the trees!
The bungalows provided a fantastic experience, tucked away at the back of Praia Mole nestled in trees off the back streets. They don't speak any English but we managed to sort out staying for one night. Really reasonable and I think there is a pool although we didn't use it, or see it! There are a number of bungalows sleeping 2-4 people. They all have hammocks which you can put up outside and relax to the silence. Although the accommodation is basic it was a wonderful different experience. You must go to the famous restaurant on the beach BAR DO ARANT - again a fantastic experience, little shack, great fish and seafood, and the place is covered in notes left by customers!

Disgusting Place
We selected this property basis Lonely Planet. It was so disgusting, and in a poor location we left and forfeited our 3 night payment. Just filthy, run down, and plenty of spiders. And the parking lot adjacent to the swimming pool was just charming. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Great location
Excellent location and view across the rd from praia mole. Nice breakfast provided. Was disapointed our bungalow didnt have a balcony or a hammock as was 180 reais per night. Also the kitchen was very badly equipped with only a couple of utensils and no means to do the dishes. Bungalows are not serviced either. Was clean enough but did find hair from other people around the place. Lady that runs the place was friendly enough and let us park our car there after we checked out.

Good place to stay in Praia Mole
Came to Praia Mole via the overnight bus (very good) from Iguazu and local bus from Floripa (easy). Tried the Eco Hotel which was full as it was the weekend - not too disappointed as it looked rather dark and dingy from the outside. They were most unhelpful when we asked if there was alternative accommodation available and didn't tell us about Bangalos da Mole
In fact, these are 100m or so further along the road and just across the road from the beach. As often, no English is spoken but broken Spanish and the very helpful young lady at reception and we were soon installed in an upstairs room with sea view - $R200 a night. (Cash only, and no ATM nearby.) Very comfortable - good a/c which we didn't need, good large room and bathroom, all very clean. Very good breakfast.
Weather wasn't good so limited eating places on the beach. The bus goes every 20 minutes into Lagoa da Conceicao where there are lots of places to eat. There is also a Backpackers' Hostel within walking distance at the top of the hill which serves meals and has great views.

Nice Alternative at Praia Mole
Me and my fiancee stayed there for a couple of days in May in Bungalow number 9. The Bungalows are clean, the A/C works perfectly and the kitchen and fridge are a nice plus. The Bungalow is a two story building. The stairs going up to the main sleeping bedroom are kind of dangerous. Not slippery but very weird design so watch your step. A full view of the ocean from the bedroom was wonderful. A hammock is outside in a balcony area and you have a partial view of the ocean. There was no Breakfast served during my stay my rate was only discounted $10BR. The Bungalows are located across the street from Praia Mole, a taxi ride to lagoa de conceicao is $11 BR and to Floripa about $30 BR. From the airport we paid $45BR. It is quite hard to move around the island with no car. A bus runs every 20 minutes from the Bangalows to TILAG ( The main bus station at Lagoa de Conceicao ) and you can get a free transfer to TICEN ( the main bus station at Florianapolis ) you can go all the way for $2.85BR but the ride will take about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. Staff was nice, they can speak little English. Because this is a no frills/ no luxury accomodation I am only giving this 3* however, would definetly come back. There is no daily cleaning of your room service. I believe they clean your room every other day. Would stay again. Did not see a pool on site.
