A home away from home with the Wagner family

There are hotels where you stay overnight, and there are places you just want to return to again and again. For us, the Hotel Fabrik in Vienna clearly belongs to the second category. I have now been here for the third time with my mom, and every time it feels like we are coming home.
This is primarily due to the Wagner family, who run their house with so much heart that you can feel it in every corner. You are not welcomed like a guest, but like an old acquaintance whom you haven't seen in a long time. The entire service team is so attentive and friendly that you feel secure from the very first moment. Nothing feels forced; everything comes from the heart.
Everything else here is just right, too. The rooms are modern, very clean, and lovingly maintained, so you feel comfortable immediately and truly arrive. The room service is great and leaves nothing to be desired. And the breakfast is a real highlight, so rich and lovingly prepared that my mom and I looked forward to it every morning and enjoyed sitting a little longer.
We look forward to coming back again and again and can wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel Fabrik and the wonderful Wagner family. Thank you for your hospitality, your warmth, and for making one feel at home so quickly with you. Until next time in Vienna.

Nice Quiet Family Driven Hotel

There is quiet, and you sleep well at night in lovely beds.
The hotel and the rooms are clean.
Breakfast buffet is standard, but there are plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and you can get cooked mirror, omelet, etc.
The coffee is made on freshly milled beans, which we enjoy.
The staff is nice and friendly and creates a nice atmosphere.
Although the hotel is close to the ring road, you don't notice it, as all the rooms are located in the yard. The location is no problem, metro close and you can walk to most if you are a little agile. Taxi is cheap if you want home from the city in the evening.
The restaurant belonging to the hotel can be clearly recommended. There is a canon atmosphere and it is primarily locals who come to eat and have fun. The food is good and the staff immensely friendly.
Can really be recommended even if it is not located in the center.

Central quiet pole in the middle of Vienna

Great “oasis” and quiet spot in the middle of urban area.Centrally located ,near Schönbrunn and U Bahm equally accessible.Chefs,staff is very familiar,good breakfast and associated restaurant.Come there gladly for many years.

Decent stay

Close to subway and tram, about 3 mins walk with excellent communications to Vienna city center. The surrounding area is a bit shady and dark but there is a couple of supermarkets close by and there is a gas station across the street from the hotel. Quiet place, and no disturbance from traffic. Breakfast is good but not great, but they make omelette by order :). Check in advance the receptions hours upon leaving if you need luggage storage. We experienced that the hotel closed at lunch due to holiday celebration so we had to find a luggage storage downtown due to late flight. However, a price worthy hotel. The restaurant was closed for new years and the reception bar was closed during the evening since the reception closed early.

Not an ideal hotel

It was an utilitarian dorm room experience. The beds were low, there was no decoration, the king size bed was split into 2 twin beds. There was one pillow and one blanket. The carpet was old and the towels were hard. The television had no English channels. They did have good hot water and decent light complimentary breakfast. It is approximately 7 minutes to get to the subway system but it is a dark walk at night. It was booked through Travelzoo and was disappointing.
