On a scenic drive & dropped in for lunch - fantastic

A lovely old hotel in the country, but just off the highway (couldn't hear it) and so much charm to go with cold drinks & wonderful food.
We had the ghoulash stew, served with various breads, a separate salad and very tasty. Also the 'farmers pan', served to the table in the pan in a lovely wooden holder, with the pan full of fried pork, sausage, potato & onion - sensational.
We ate on the terrace under umbrellas, & Inside reflected the history of the hotel. There were various game animals and birds on display, Austrian furniture & fit out, and 2 indoor bowling alleys (i guess a local meeting point during winter for festivities).
Off street parking available & friendly staff made it memorable.

They just want your money

The place is clean, room was comfortable but expect no service whatsoever if that means extra work for them or not being able to charge what you originally should have payed. Breakfast was slim, if you arrive late there won’t be any choice of bread. The smell of the kitchen climbs all the way up the stairs. Once and never again.

Disappointed

The hotel is in a lovely location but sometimes very noisy in the morning when the trucks are passing by heading up to the quarry or going to the saw mill. The rooms are of reasonable size but the bedding wasn't changed in the 6 days we were there. The bathroom was mini size, actually it's surprising what you can get in such a small area. Everything was there, a mini size shower, with the toilet right next to it (no room for a toilet roll holder though) and a sink. Also a sensor time controlled light which switched off whilst showering. The breakfast was ok but only got boiled eggs if you asked. The food in the restaurant was good but more expensive than other places. The proprietors weren't very friendly either. I certainly wouldn't go back.

Nice and clean

We visited Gasthof Weberhausl in the end of August 2015, the rooms were clean and cozy, the only thing that I would suggest to improve is space in rooms' kitchen for preparing food. Restaurant food was fine and fresh and bowling inside was a plus for our kids. If you want to visit Strobl, you need to take a car or bike, rouds for pedestrians are not developed there.

Nice and clean

Stayed here for one night during my hiking trip. It is a nice and clean place and my room had a balcony which was so nice because it was very hot that day.
It is about 15-20 min. walk from downtown and wolfgangsee (a really nice lake!!). There is a big Spar supermarket nearby.
I only tried the breakfast at the restaurant but it was much better than the others I had at the others Gasthofs in Salzkammergut.
The owners weren't the friendliest people I've ever met and it seemed a bit like you were just another guest. (Not that that they were rude!)
If I am ever going back to Strobl i would probably choose a place closer to the lake anyway.
