Oldie but goldie

We had some doubts regarding this hotel because of the various reviews. Yes, it is a bit dated, but everything was clean, functioning and well maintained.
Very close to village center. My wife stayed in the hotel during the day, with our little son while I went skiing with the older one so it was perfect for us because she had everything within walking distance.
The room was large, with double bed, extra bed, sofa and baby cot for our little one. They charged nothing extra for children, just two adults.
We had halfboard and the meals were very good. Especially in the evening when we had two main courses to choose from (you just let them know in previous evening what you choose). By the way: the grilled salomon was absolutely delicious.
Easy access for skiing in Hoechoetz (700m) and in Solden (25-30 mins by car).

A last minute visit

I was suddenly travelling on my own and wanted somewhere to stay and to go skiing. As it was a quiet midweek stay and the room was ready I was able to check in at 10.30 am and they also allowed me to keep my room to have a shower after skiing the next day. The evening meal was plentiful, good and I felt very welcome. Breakfast was good. I felt the hotel responded very well to my early arrival and late departure, and went the extra mile.

Lovely family run hotel

I stayed at Alpenhotel for 5 nights for a snowboarding & skiing holiday in Hochötz. The hotel is placed right in the centre of town, very convenes to walk to every bar, restaurant & shop.
The accommodations were nice & clean, with a lovely view from the balcony. The owner & staff, were very friendly & always helpful & tolerant of my lack if German vocabulary.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to visit Oetz.

One night stay between mountain passes

Stayed for one night in early June.
Took a while to find somebody to check in at reception, but they were friendly and helpful.
Room and bathroom could do with modernising, but everything worked and it was comfortable. We were only there for one night, so it was fine for us.
Cracking views of the mountain and 2 mins walk down into town for food/drink.
Breakfast was ok - not much variety.
Free parking and wifi.

Adequate

Older hotel located about 2 blocks off the main drag in Oetz. I was in a group of motorcycle riders and had a single room. Room was not large, but big enough. Access to balcony on the room, shared with the adjacent room. Room was clean, furniture old and mismatched, but in good condition. Bath was clean, but old. Shower head was loose (not hanging on the wall), but it was fine. Dinner and breakfast was included and was good. We had a choice of two menus for dinner, breakfast is buffet style. No great views or wellness features, but if your looking for sleep for a budget price, it was fine.
