Good option in Linz

Stayed here for a night in July 2026.
Pros:
1) The room and bathrooms were very spacious and very clean.
2) The hotel had ample parking right in front. But it is paid parking.
3) The front desk was operational 24/7 and the staff spoke excellent English. The staff was courteous and helpful.
4) The place is very quiet at night and sleep quality was great.
5) We had a room with the city cum river view and the view was excellent.
6) The WIFI was free with excellent speed and connectivity.
7) The price was cheap.
8) The hotel is located on the banks of the Danube river and it is pleasant walking around the hotel area.
9) The lobby area is very spacious and the decor was nice.
Cons:
1) There are not many restaurants or shopping options nearby. The city centre was a good 20 minutes walk away.

Do not book this!!!

Worth 4 stars
Booked room totally worn out, not cleaned, stained furniture, hair in the. Bathroom.
Complained immediately, got another one, also not really better
Cobwebs in the door,
Refrigerator broken, smelled when you opened the door
No air conditioning, bad on the 12th floor.
The whole hotel is in dire need of renovation

It Looks Like a Scene from the Walking Dead

Because the Danube was so low, our river cruise turned into a land tour. This was the pre-arranged hotel for one night by Avalon, our cruise line. The hotel does not have air conditioning, the red carpet is lumpy and bumpy, and seemed to have a film on it (mold?). It was so gross, we immediately left. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable putting my bare feet on the floor.

Would book again anytime.

Points of criticism: the (not very easy-to-access) shower facility in the bathtub. The worn and dated-looking carpet (room and hallway).
Very pleasant: Bed and 2 pillows to choose from, enough storage space and closet compartments. Blackout curtains, good soundproofing from neighboring rooms. Service at the hotel is very friendly and helpful, nice restaurant terrace facing the Danube, quiet and central location on the Danube promenade (only a bit noisy later on weekends). Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, good selection for every taste and dietary style, everything fresh and unpackaged. I just didn't find the bread and roll selection that tasty.

Maybe to add a fan during summer to cool down the room? And also to make sure the fridges are working properly, the rest is fantastic and very wonderful area
