There's something going on on on hammermoss!

Hellishly busy on a winter Sunday despite freezing cold and timid sun. Fantastic toboggan run!
In the restaurant great selection of food and drinks. Fast service. Initially stress-related - but we understand! - unkindness of the service lady with dark braid then quickly turned into the opposite.
Only the intense toilet smell at the entrance was a little annoying. Well, where there are many people, there people stop - sometimes :)

Sweet delights, great service and location

It is well worth a visit to the Hammermoos Alm for refreshments. It was a delightful hike from Weidach to the alm, passing along the river before heading upwards into pastures and some of the most stunning scenery in the valley.
The Hammermoos Alm is under new ownership and they have most certainly created a lovely welcoming atmosphere in a typically rural Austrian setting. There is a milking parlour next door and a very friendly border collie dog roams around. The interior is charming, with wooden panels and furniture everywhere. It is very light and bright inside, even on a cold and wet day like today.
Now to the food.....we ordered Kaiserschmarrn, served with cranberry and apple sauces and also a slice of apricot cake. Both were absolutely delicious as well as plentiful. In fact my husband went as far as saying the Kaiserschmarrn was the best he has ever had in over 30 years of visiting Austria. Our delightful sweet treats were washed down with a couple of Steigl beers, served in a stoneware tankard and a soda.
Reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

For young and old - new management

A super nice alpine pasture for young and old. Very easy to reach with great views. The food is delicious and the staff mega friendly. Were at the weekend for brunch and it was more than worth it. I highly recommend it. I like to come back, thanks to the new management.

Hämmermoosalm is new and finally a great alpine pasture!

A paradise for the whole family!
The Hämmermoosalm has become a real gem for Nature Guides and families due to the new management.
The hike to the alpine pasture is designed in such a way that it is actually easy for both adult hikers and children and even with strollers. The wide gravel road leads through a beautiful landscape and offers wonderful views again and again.
Once at the top, visitors can look forward to a cosy alpine pasture with a large sun terrace.
The new menu offers something for every taste, from traditional Tyrolean specialities to light dishes.
We can especially recommend the homemade bread and the super tender bacon, which we were also able to enjoy in our case during another visit for brunch at the weekend.
The Hämmermoosalm has now become a place where you can relax and enjoy nature.
For us, the Hämmermoosalm will always be a successful end to a great hike.

The new tenants know how goes

Everything great, service friendly, prices ok and the food quality excellent. The new tenants have turned the review by 100%. Everything is as it should be. Please expand. The quality of the food should be emphasized. Someone who knows how to cook here. Whether salad, pastries or home cooking, everything has a level that you can hardly get at an alpine hut and therefore no longer expect. Big thank you, we come now often
