Ive been coming here since I was 3 , I'm now 52! It's not over done in massive changes and still has that wonderful atmosphere and respectful other campers... And I can't believe the hot showers are STILL only 20cents for decades!! Ive bought friends /kids and new family members here over the time and we always go back feeling like we did recharge, relax and days feel longer somehow!!

Park needs an overhaul and management that care
The only two positive items are:
The wildlife that come to your site. Loved it.
Location of the park - between beach and lake
Now the negative.
No fresh water - park only has bore water and tank rain water
Our private ensuite was dirty and very run down MN.
Shelving under basin leaked which wet everything we stored under there.
Shower head needs replacing as it sprays everywhere
The shower needs a better solution for draining as it goes all over the entire ensuite leaving you with an always wet floor
No soap no towels.
Door keeps locking every time you leave the ensuite - becareful to not leave keys inside!
Noisy next door neighbour was partying to 2am in the morning
Camp kitchen a joke - not open until 830am and closes at 930pm
Most times was opened late
The fridge in camp kitchen was tiny and did not work.
Informed management and they did nothing and new people kept coming in and adding their food to a fridge that didn't work which they would have their food perished
With the size of camp kitchen which was impressive at least gave a large or even 2 large fridge and freezer to accommodate your guests

The park was absolutely beautiful well kept and safe were very nice and polite you recommended it to all my family and friends thanks for a wonderful long weekend

Lakesea Park South Durras
Great park located between South Durras Beach and Durras Lake. We had an ensuite powered van site which was very good. We arrived late due to blown tyres bad they arranged for a late check in. We had to change sites due to van height and a tree but it was no problem for the after hours manager to help with that. Clean and well maintained grounds and amenities. There’s a little store at reception for general necessities.
Good location for beach walks, getting away from really busy parks. Well protected from the ocean winds due to great vegetated sand dunes.
