This hotel is was lovely find. Recently under new management it is a work in progress regarding opening the Bistro but hopefully it will open soon.. My room was upgraded from standard to a very spacious room with a separate bedroom and a spa.
Very clean, very comfortable and unexpectedly quiet. I was on the ground floor facing Blackburn Rd, however there is a very solid concrete fence that provided an excellent buffer between the room and the traffic. It must be said there are a lot of rooms that do no face Blackburn Rd - if you prefer. The staff were very helpful and advised me that they are gradually upgrading the rooms but to my mind my room was perfect as it was. For the price a stay at the The Gateway Hotel, Blackburn Rd, Notting Hill is value for money. Safe, clean - quiet, a comfortable oasis in a very busy area. I highly recommend this Hotel - I will be back. Helen.

Clean rooms, amenities, good service

Cleanliness is 10/10 in general, service was nice and helpful. Mattress was well worn out.
The only thing that was miscommunicated was that at reception we were told that local pizzeria around corner might provide 10% off bill but we mentioned it and business owner said he knew nothing about it as they are under new management and no communication there. Also we had some spare time so tried using the gym, it was ok but the sauna was not working and bugs everywhere. Business owner could probably spruke the gym area to locals and start a business there to keep amenities going.....just a suggestion?

it's basic accommodation which is a little dated but provides value for money in a location that is very suitable for me, with an abundance of parking readily available. Nice and friendly, personalised and caring.

Well stocked with essentials, AC was fine, room was serviced daily and room was very comfortable and quiet.

The location suits me, and you can't expect a five star room at this price so have to accept that the walls have been repainted in patches, pretty clean, and friendly enough.
