This hotel situated at the central part of Box Hill. It is a well maintained hotel with good facilities and services. My son and I stayed at a twin beds room which is spacious and comfortable. The shower is large and comfortable. The room is very clean and modern. Overall it is a nice stay. The staff are all helpful and professional.

I am travelling to work in Melbourne. I found the apartment is in an excellent location, clean and with the gym to do exercise while with the tight schedule.

Perfect stay always.
I come quite regularly to The Chen when travelling for business. The service is always great, the rooms are big and spacious with nice clean amenities and bed is incredibly comfortable. Lots of restaurants close by as well.

Great option in the heart of Box Hill
I stayed here recently before a procedure at the Epworth Eastern Hospital Box Hill. The location was great with the hospital very close by and an easy walk. The hotel is also just across a small car park to the Centro Shopping Centre with plenty of places to eat or buy groceries/takeaway and the Box Hill train station. Plus on the other side of the centre is a number of Asian restaurants. The hotel also has 4 restaurants on the ground floor (I don’t think they are affiliated with Accor).
I did find the parking a little confusing as there was nowhere out the front of the hotel to pull into before checking in. I think it’s best to call the hotel for directions before arriving by car as essentially you need to drive into one secure parking garage to check in and then move your car to a second secure parking garage for the overnight stay.
We stayed in a Chen Twin with two Queen beds. The room wasn’t huge but it was fine for 3 adults for 1 night. The beds were really comfortable. Surprisingly the room had a toaster, plates and cutlery in addition to a kettle and coffee machine. There was no mini bar but a decent selection of teas and milk in the bar fridge. I had forgotten a toothbrush and dialed reception who brought one up for me very promptly.
The outside rooftop swimming pool would be lovely over autumn, spring and summer but perhaps not a Melbourne winter. The temperature of the pool felt really warm and a winters swim could have been possible but it would have been very cold after getting out and I couldn’t see any change rooms adjacent to the pool meaning it would be cold on the 24th floor, drying off and getting changed. I didn’t use the gym but it looked well appointed with modern machines and a nice view.
I’ll definitely stay again, whether it’s for a staycation or prior to a hospital appointment. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its very convenient location.
