Terrible Customer Relations

What a dreadful experience. After having our apartment flooded we booked 1 night as we could not stay at home. On the day of checking in the reception rang and inquired what was the purpose of our visit. I replied we had to be out of home for renovations, she then questioned me about the renovations and length of time they would take, strange questions in my view.
Then 30 minutes later the manager, Ash rang and said they don't accept locals in their hotel. I explained why were staying and that I had already paid in advance and was told he didn't want my business and would provide a refund. Crazy!!
I have now at last minute had to book somewhere else, as if there wasn't enough stress from the flood. Anyway a word of warning......they have strange policies and do not communicate them!! TERRIBLE SERVICE

I stay here often when I travel for work. It is in a great location for my office and it's always clean and well equipped. Sometimes little things don't work (a plug that doesn't fit the bath tub, a tv missing a cable etc) but the staff are responsive via WhatsApp even on the after hours number.
