Neat and functional
Very clean and neat. Set on the high side of the street with a great view for sunset. The room is neat and functional. Tea making facilities and microwave

Nice place.
Very nice motel, very cute, clean, with a friendly view. Possibility to make a Check in at any time with a self-service machine , very convenient so that you do not have to rush to make the Check in. Microwave, small fridge, cutlery are provided.

Motel Maclean in Maclean
This motel was fully booked but remained quiet. The room was comfortable, pleasant and a little dated. Everything was clean and neat and the channels on the TV were endless. The pool was very nice, the staff friendly and everything was done to accommodate us and make our stay pleasant. Not too far from the town centre. After sleeping in the queen bed I went home and bought a new mattress for my own bed. A good night's sleep which is what I needed. Reverse cycle air was also great as it was a hot night. Beverage facilities. Cost reasonable.

Maclean is a great town
Very clean large rooms with great amenities.
Very friendly staff and the club is great.
We love the town of Maclean and an ideal stop between Brisbane and Taree.

Not For Us
This was our first experience of staying here. Unlike the majority of motels we've experienced, Motel Maclean does not provide any warm welcome, personal communication or onsite support during your stay. We were unaware that an “ after hours check in” 24 hours a day, meant that no one would be available on site. This is not made clear on the website. It should be. Check-in is via an electronic machine which dispenses your key. It certainly does not give the impression that staff and management are interested in you and ensuring that you have everything you need. I realise that some guests prefer anonymity with a motel stay. Overpriced for Maclean, given the self service approach of staff in charge.The rooms are quite old but comfortable. They are well equipped with all you need for an overnight stay. The shower was great. You need to drive to get to the centre of Maclean for meals and shops. Walls are paper thin and the motel is positioned on the hill above the main road. We had a neighbour making quite a bit of noise slamming fours and banging things around. If there had been any kind of emergency, there's no one onsite to assist.
There is an element of meanness evident when management leave signs indicating a concern about guests taking spare toilet paper on departure. See attached photo. We found this to be offensive. The humour us a poor attempt to cover this.
We did not feel looked after. Would not stay here again.
