Futuristic capsule pods with a great value for money
The atmosphere of the venue is great and had a mixed group of people who all got along well during my stay.
The rooms are pods or capsules which may not seem that spacious, but as a larger person I was able to sit up in them with no issues with plenty of space for me to move around in the single pod. Each pod has wireless charging as well as USB charging for your devices with lighting and mirror in the pod. It has a 2 hooks that can be used to hang smaller items. Each pod also has a small to medium locker assigned to it which only opens with the card to your pod.
Opening the pod I was met with a freshly laundered towel, single doona and pillow.
They also contain a small valuable safe, but I was unable to open mine. The pods are not soundproof and you can hear other people entering/leaving or talking in their pods.
The amenities were all nice and clean with a shared common lounge area and kitchen. Toilets and shower area were nice and clean, however, the water pressure in the showers felt a bit on the low side even when set to maximum and, even when it was set to full hot water was barely warm at best each time I took a shower during my stay.
The staff when I was serviced were nice and friendly and guided me as it was my first time staying at the venue. Check-out time is at 10am and check-in from 2pm, with an option late check in available.
At costing $60aud per night for the single size pod, it is very good value for money and I would stay here again especially when on a tight budget.

I wish that there were more places just like this one to stay and sleep in all around Australia when travelling and exploring. Unlike all of those other backpacker hostel places, where you have no privacy and have to put up with the noise of others during your sleep, especially from snorers.

If you just need an affordable place to rest, relax and sleep while spending most of your time exploring Launceston and its surroundings, I recommend staying in the Pod Inn.
