Bed Bugs
We have stayed here often and enjoyed it. On our most recent stay (coming home with our 3 week old baby) we found what looked to be many little cockroaches in the bed, and saved a few for the manager in a glass on the bench, so they could see it. Later that day my family developed 100s of bites all over their bodies. I googled the little cockroaches and they turned out to be bed bugs. I contacted the management at the beginning of office hours the next day. They said they already knew and had treated the cabin with a professional pest management contractor. I was shocked that they did not make contact to notify me, so I could prevent contaminating my home on arrival. Within a few days, the bites turned into itchy welts over all the members of our family. I sent photos to the owners saying that I felt they should offer a refund. I followed up the next week with a phone call, and was told the wife was in the shower and would return my call when she got out, but I haven’t heard back. My messages have all been ignored. I find this both Unprofessional and surprising because until this visit, the management have been great communicators and our stays have been lovely. We will certainly be looking at other options for accommodation on our regular thrips through Darlington Point.

You are right to be upset, and we want to be honest: when the issue with your cabin arose, you should have been contacted immediately and kept informed throughout. That your calls and messages went unanswered made a difficult situation significantly worse, and for that we are truly sorry.
We have taken this feedback seriously. Our communication processes and guest notification procedures have been reviewed and strengthened, and we now have a dedicated on-site manager to ensure guests always have a direct point of contact and that issues are handled with the immediacy they deserve.
You mentioned that your previous stays had been lovely, and we genuinely value the trust you placed in us over those visits. We understand if you choose to look elsewhere going forward — that is completely fair. But if you are ever willing to give us another opportunity, we would welcome the chance to show you the standard of care you deserved.

Great cabin but difficult access
The cabin itself was new, spacious with great facilities and a comfy bed. Location a very short drive to shops and pubs but also walkable with lovely views of the river. We were shocked by the distance from the car park to the cabins however, past large lawned areas. Recent floods have clearly had a big impact on accommodation in the town. Having to carry all our luggage, food etc for our stay quite a distance along a gravel path - fully puddled from recent rain in our case, and still raining, was difficult and us, shoes and bags ended up wet. We are older and fit but beware if you depend on mobility wheels of any kind. Or have babies in prams. There are also steps up to the cabins. We would not stay here again without checking if the parking has been moved closer to the cabins. Otherwise a great cabin with a full kitchen including a dishwasher.

The Perfect Stay
The cabins are spacious, quiet and very comfortable. Easily accommodate a large family or group of friends or the perfect couple trip. Three spacious bedrooms with plenty of beds and two bathrooms. The spacious cabins have the best kitchen facilities and is all very new and spotlessly clean. The oven is amazing to use and also a dishwasher, which is a plus when on a break.
The staff are friendly and the owner/manager is very obliging and accommodating. The grounds are lush lawn and plenty of room for the kids to kick the ball around. We will return again and again for this perfect, quiet location only a couple of minutes from Darlington Point the best little coffee shop in the Riverina.

Fabulous spot for a family gathering
How lucky we were to find this little gem! Cabins are huge and easily accommodate a large family or two. Perfect for a family gathering or sports team on the road. Great location close to Griffith and with the animal park just up the road it’s ideal for a weekend away.
Cabins had everything we needed, were sparkling clean and very comfortable. The best part of all though was the campfire out the front where we could enjoy our delicious pizzas from the shop in town under the stars!
