My only regret is that we only stayed two nights

A wonderfully secluded and peaceful location that oozes serenity. Until you walk around you don’t realise how much accommodation is available for all travellers. Beautiful cabins, grass spots for all size of vans, individual cosy sites for tents as well as a larger grass area for groups.
After walking around the camp i was quite amazed how many people were actually staying at Ferns Hideaway because noise or feeling cramped was not an issue.
The facilities and grounds were spotless and nothing was too much trouble for Anna our hostess.
Added bonus was they have a takeaway menu and we had the best chilli prawn pizza.

Absolutely horrible service.

We booked for a weekend a month before to be then told that they are painting the cabins the day of check in that we had booked they messaged us to let us know and that we will be moving into a different cabin the next day. Next day came for them to tell us our cabins not ready and there wasn’t anything they can do about it. Absolutely terrible service. If that was the case and they let us know prior to us taking days off work to have the weekend out there. we wouldn’t have booked a weekend there we would have booked somewhere else.
They were happy to kick us out and let the next person stay. Instead of working something else out so we could stay the weekend that we booked for. Very angry and disappointed our weekend was ruined. We got our money back but that’s not the point.

Tranquility

Canoeing on the creek bought me so much peace
Each site is very spacious, the cabins are secluded.
Just hearing the sounds of the birds each morning and nothing else is a unique thing in today’s world.
My family visited while I was there. I paid a small fee and they were able to use all the facilities. Canoes, pool, tennis court. Lots of balls provided for footy, soccer and cricket.
Breathing the clean air of the rain forest rejuvenated me.

Owner Anna was very accommodating and friendly. This was our 3rd stay. We just love the privacy of the cabins, peacefulness and the pool upgrades are lovely. So nice to cool off on a hot day.

Rustic retreat amongst beautiful rainforest nature.

Our second stay here and loved it. Rustic back with nature luxury retreat at its best! As a family we had 4 of the 5 cabins booked. Myself, husband and two grandchildren in the Pioneer Cabin. First of the cabins built a few decades ago. Loved its quaintness. Well appointed, attention to detail, and clean. Beds very comfortable. The simple life but modern conveniences and surrounded by the sounds, sights and fragrances of sub tropical rainforest. Canoeing and swimming on and in Waterpark Creek very much a highlight with a magical feel of peacefulness and beauty.
Thank you Wayne and Anna, continue your good work revitalising Ferns Hideaway.
