Oasis of Tranquility in San Telmo

Had the pleasure to stay at this lovely, small hotel in San Telmo. Absolutely loved our time spent here. Room was amply sized for the two of us. The bathroom is tiny, but manageable. Bed was very comfortable. Our gracious hosts, Santiago and his nephew Mateus were wonderful! Very helpful and accommodating. Added benefit was having a furry friend, Apollo, during our stayHuge bonus was having the attached restaurant, Pasaje Solar. Incredible food steps from our room! Shout out to Guadalupe for her kind and gracious service. Incredible value for both the hotel and restaurant. Highly recommend!

Relaxed, kind hosts

We stayed here for 5 nights then went to iguazu and came back for a night. Accommodation is basic but roomy and clean. Staff are very kind and nothing is too much trouble. Their English isn't great but they are patient. My only gripe is there is a dog that roams around. He was a friendly dog and my husband liked him but I'm not really a dog person and didn't like it much

Pleasant place, still don’t know the name of the host :)

We found this place via booking.com and were very curious about it. Arriving to this place at 16:35, being a bit tired, expecting to drop our stuff, change and head to the city, we entered the site, met a curious smiley guy (owner? personally I still don’t know... :) and were asked to wait until our room downstairs (supposedly as we’ve seen the cleaning process) would be ready (was 16:35 BA time, Saturday, we’ve informed about our arrival between 4&5pm). After some waiting we’re suddenly suggested a room upstairs so it made me wondering what we were waiting for... The room was rather small (as expected) and cousy. A bit packed with elements while you can find a small kitchen with a mini-fridge, microwave ready to serve you and all kitchenware to help you with your needs. Indeed quite convenient. Bathroom is rather small but sufficient. A bit disturbed by some light at night, still at acceptable level. All in all is this was a good place in a very convenient location in San Telmo. Easy to reach, find and head off. We missed opportunity to try a dinner at this place as came at 23:30 on Saturday and were told that kitchen was already closed (while guests stayed until almost 01:00). Next Sunday dinner was also not possible as they were open till 16:00 only, so, no chance again :))) Seems it’s a common Argentinian approach for a Sunday time. Rate as 4, with food, perhaps, could go some higher. Recommend you to try this place.

A hidden gem

Such a wonderful place to stay in the heart of San Telmo. A peaceful oasis, quiet rooms, fantastic cafe/restaurant. Santiago and his staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too difficult to do to make guests feel special and welcome. Look no further for delicious lunches, dinners and a fabulous wine selection. All very reasonably priced, and crowded with locals, particularly during lunch hours.

Peace and tranquility in the heart of san telmo

A very nice and welcoming patio, an even more welcoming owner, some good bifes de chorizo, nice rooms, great location in the heart of San Telmo and - sherry on the cake - a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our honey moon!
Make sure tou stay there!
